Higgins 7/15/2026
Participant (P): Was talking with K and we are pondering more about how we might be missing some pieces about pre-paving. I read something today about spending time looking at our subconscious behavior patterns that might over ride our programming intellectually to pre-pave. Could you address that?
Higgins (H): To bring our conversation down to one goal is not possible. A goal that we have for you is to learn how to take control of your life and create the life you are wanting to live. We offer you any technique that we can come up with that will help you align you with the things that you want. Pre-paving is a very nice one and we have been using it a lot because it works. You are right when you acknowledge it doesn’t always work. You are right when you acknowledge that there is something else missing when creating with pre-paving, and K said it when she said there is something missing -the word you used was resistance.
We talk about getting rid of resistance. Maybe we don’t use that word but aligning yourself is what we talk about and pre-paving aligns you in certain ways. But if you are resistant to it, then you have to try other things. We have talked about many ways of releasing resistance. We have talked about practicing. You practice creating small things then you release your resistance to your belief that you CAN create the thing that you want. That is one way of practicing. We have suggested to you having a “bag of tricks” to help you maintain a positive attitude. Positivity helps release resistance, not because it releases resistance to a particular thing but because when you are happy or feeling positive things that are positive can slip in or drift in -like when you get really close to another vehicle ahead of you it pulls you forward with of the momentum of the vehicle in front of you and the way the wind it creates goes. When you are happy things can come in on your happiness that you might otherwise be resistant to.
We have talked about resistance in another way. If you are female and have given birth to another being, you KNOW that you gave birth to that. If somebody came along and said “No, you didn’t, that’s mine,” there is no possible way you would believe that. This firm belief releases resistance because there is no resistance to that sort of firm belief. You KNOW it is true. All of the things that we encourage for you are ways to get to that belief that you CAN create the thing that you want, that it is yours. The Universe says YES and all you are doing is walking through time and space till you get to it. Questions?
P: It seems that everything comes to the people who are confident.
H: Yes, and why the people who are not confident struggle and struggle and struggle, and things are always hard for them. It doesn’t matter if they go to the grocery store or are getting a new outfit -literally everything that they do is hard because they have no confidence. We would say that is wishy washiness. You get wishy washy. It’s not that the Universe is punishing you or your wishy-washiness. The Universe can ONLY give you wishy-washy if that is what you are offering out. If you are offering firmness and conviction that you KNOW that the Universe is conspiring in your favor, then the things that you want will be given to you as you request. When you have that sort of firmness that is a lack of resistance.
We think what you are asking is how do we release resistance. Our friend, K, says soul searching and reviewing. There are several ways to release resistance. We believe that you are all familiar with shamanic removals. We have done those for you over time. Think of a Shamanic removal as removing stuck energy. Removal is helpful if you believe that the thing has gone enough that you can go on acting differently, and also because it moves stuck energy: you no longer have the energetic wedge or knife or hook stuck into you. But… you still have the mindset. You have to let go of the mindset. So, they are helpful to some extent. You have to change your behavior or those things can be latched back in to you.
Another method of clearing stuck energy is to intentionally release it.
K: We have codes of behavior that are operating subconsciously that override our intellect. Example, I’m thinking all day long that I want to rely on my intuition more and then I read something that says how ridiculous people are who think intuition can be controlled. I might be thinking that I don’t believe that but my whole upbringing is the opposite of that. Western education has said, “Yeah, you can’t operate intuitively; you have to have rules and regulations.”
What I’m trying to live can be undermined by an old behavior and belief system that I am not aware is working. So, I guess it’s Socrates’ way of saying you have got to really know yourself; know what some of your triggers are if you are going to have confidence in your ability to shape your future. Some days are better than others but sometimes you will get triggered and revert without knowing it.
H: Let’s talk about intuition. What do you think intuition is?
P: I think everything has a frequency and when I’m really aware of my capabilities as a human being and am able to read energy and I don’t have any beliefs stopping me from doing that, I can tune into frequencies that will help me make good decisions; live the way I want; help bring to me what I want.
H: You humans are guided by another aspect of your soul that is not focused in your body. You have part of you that is focused in the body and part in the non-physical. And, you have one or more spirit guides who assist you in achieving the goals you have set forward as you came into this experience. You are guided by your soul self with your emotions. When you are in sync with what your soul self thinks about the situation you are in, you feel good. You have positive emotions. When you are not in alignment with what your soul self believes about the situation in front of you, then you feel negative emotions.
We always want you to align and re-align and reconstruct and reconsider until your thoughts feel good to you because then you are in alignment with your soul-self, that part of you that is focused in the non-physical. You are inspired much of the time by your spirit guide(s), the friend that stays with you to assist. It says, “Ok you had a plan, go this way. Think about this option.” That option might be for example to stop to use the restroom in a park and have the experience of an eagle flying over your head. Inspiration does that. It leads you to experiences and decisions that are in alignment with your goals. If you are feeling out of alignment and not clear about your goals, you may not get inspiration that is 100% on key. You could be inspired to do negative things: for example, there are some who have committed some pretty clever murders and they are inspired, too. So, you must be clear about the direction you are headed. If you are intending to be kind, gentle and an asset to the human race, then you will be inspired in a positive direction.
Wishy washyness gets all sorts of weird conversations going on. You’re right. You’re inspired. Inspiration is an important aspect of being human. You can act on your inspiration and still live in the world that you are talking about; in the everyday life experience interacting with the people you interact with, working at your job, you can weave them together.
Questions?
P: How do you know what your subconscious is thinking or doing? Since it is subconscious, you are not consciously aware of it. How can it change?
H: If you are not aware of your subconscious? Ask the question differently.
P: If the subconscious holds beliefs that cause us to act a certain way—or prevent us from acting with confidence or belief—how do we know it is interfering with what we want? I know there is a subconscious, but I do not know how to access it.
H: Can anyone help us understand?
P: I think the article suggested looking at behavior patterns. For example, if you want to be cheerful but receive a mailbox full of bills, you may feel depressed and challenged around money. That is significant for me. I know this because I have feared not having enough money my whole life. So what do I do now? Ideally, I would say, “I do not want old behavior patterns or subconscious triggers to rule me anymore. I want to sit down, meditate, become peaceful, and then use other techniques to pull myself toward joy because that is useful alignment.” The question is what causes this behavior pattern, especially when it conflicts with what I think I want.
H: We have not been using the concept of a subconscious. We describe it more as a baseline vibrational level on a given topic—something embedded in you. If we treat those two ideas as similar, then focusing on positivity helps align your subconscious with your new goal. You are trying to reestablish a thinking pattern, feeling pattern, or baseline vibrational level so that you are generally aligned and moving in the same direction. You would not directly access and interact with the subconscious.
If you will make a note to the entity, we will read more about the subconscious and see whether we can offer language that is easier to understand and more useful.
P: I am asking because I thought I had been fairly positive. Well, over the last four months I have not had much joy or happiness because of everything that has happened, but I was not worried that I would get cancer again. So pre-paving did not work.
H: Listen to your own words. “For the last three or four months, I have not had much happiness.”
P: This cancer did not grow only in the last four months. It must have been growing when I was happy. I do not think this is working for me. It does not matter.
H: It does matter. When a person is born, one of their goals is to align with happiness. Why? Because happiness helps all aspects of the self come together and work toward a life that feels happy. It is an invitation. It brings you the things you want and need and makes life feel worth living. It is painful to live without feeling that life is worth doing. You want to reach the end and say, “That was worth doing. I am glad I did that.”
Friend, you cannot say that you have not been happy for the last three or four months and also assume everything was fine. Your goal is to be happy as often as possible, except in moments when you are being guided through difficult emotion. If a friend dies, you will grieve, and we fully expect you to mourn. Grief can stretch the soul like a rubber band; it can make you more flexible. It can be beautiful when you experience the grief, then bounce back into connection. You can feel those emotions while knowing they will not last forever.
When negative emotions do last long term, they begin to weigh you down. When the cells in your body—your bones and every part of you—begin saying, “I do not want to be here, but this is where I am,” they start aligning with what you are offering emotionally. That can then appear as poor physical health or poor mental health—not madness, but depression, discouragement, and sadness—when what you want, and what feels good, are happier emotions.
Ask more questions.
Quite some time ago, Margaret and the entity discussed the 17-second idea. They asked, “Higgins, you have talked about the 17-second thing. If I stay positive for 17 seconds, am I shifting that thing in a positive direction?” We would say yes. Seventeen seconds is what it takes to shift your point of creation.
Then they asked, “Do we have to stay happy all the time, or can we go back to what we were doing before?”
Yes, you have to continue practicing happiness—and that takes work. It takes effort, and we call that effort the Law of Economics. It is the work required to focus on positivity and choose a happier thought even when you do not want to, or when it feels too hard. That is why we talk about having a happiness toolkit: memories, books, music, pictures, or even simple distraction.
Friend, you told the entity you went into the Jemez Mountains with a friend to look at the stars. That was a beautiful distraction at its finest. You spent time with your friend, saw beautiful scenery, and did something meaningful. It could also be gardening or listening to music. You must make the effort to find happiness, even when it feels far too difficult. You can fool yourself and your friends, but you cannot fool the Universe energetically.
P: I have had experiences when I was in bliss and could not imagine being happier—filled with gratitude and completely content. Recently, I went to Vietnam, had a lot of fun, and had a wonderful time. But then you come home, the experience ends, or the moment is brief. It does not last. The happiness came because I did something, took action, or perhaps because of where I was and what I was doing. If the goal is to be happy all the time, I am not always traveling to amazing places. You get used to everyday life, and you are not always happy. I use music. Some happiness is very intense in certain experiences, so there are different levels of happiness—not just one.
H: Yes, there are many levels.
P: I am here now, sort of in purgatory. It is not a constant flow of happiness. I do not want to create from unhappiness. If I am creating from wherever I am in any moment, then I am creating. Sometimes I am not happy; sometimes I am not focused. So how do I handle that?
H: It is impossible to be happy 100% of the time. We understand that completely. Your goal is to be positive and think positively. You will be offered negative emotions because they are part of your guidance system. They say, “No, you are going the wrong way.” Then your job is to notice, turn around, and get back on track. Negative emotions are guidance. They are information. The essence of being human is receiving that negative information, working with it, finding a positive direction, and moving that way.
Let us use relationships as an example. If someone longs for a relationship because they think it will make them happier, that longing can be inspiration. Then they are inspired to act. You want to act from positivity. You get an idea, consider how you might respond to it, and choose the response that feels positive. Then you take action. You may end up in Vietnam having a beautiful adventure. It is like an orchestra, a symphony, or a concert with many pieces playing. Your job as conductor is to bring those parts of yourself together so you end up where you are meant to go.
Follow positivity. Find the next right step, take it, see where it leads, and then correct course. Like driving, you turn left or right, stop, change lanes, or avoid obstacles. That is what you do with the emotional guidance system. Look for opportunities to feel good because when you feel positive, you know you are moving in the right direction. That is why we say we want you to be positive as much as possible. If you brood in negativity, the information you receive becomes muddy and unclear. To the best of your ability, distract yourself from negative thoughts, listen for inspiration, consider how to act on it, and take action while seeking alignment with positivity. If you act from negativity, you are likely mis-creating.
P: That is where the disconnect is. Say your best friend died and you are grieving. After a while, you say, “I do not want to feel this way every day, and I know I should try to align with positivity.” But this is where an old behavior pattern can sneak in from the subconscious. In my new everyday life, I know that if I meditate and do joyful things, I can move through grief. But the old trigger may say, “Oh, she thinks she can do that.” Part of your brain says you can, but an old belief you have never released sabotages you.
If we use PTSD as an example, something triggers fear. You realize fireworks caused it, not a real threat, and now you need to create a new neural pathway so you do not keep getting triggered. That is the tricky part. If you skip it, you may try to align with happiness, but the next trigger pulls you off again because you have not said, “I am afraid of…”
H: Yes, if you can name it, it is always good to name it. We have said that when you feel grief, we want you to acknowledge it and then move forward when you can. With PTSD, saying, “I am afraid of this,” is a way of acknowledging the thing, and we know that can be powerful. If you cannot name it, then keep moving toward positive feelings. As we discussed with S, use books, music, distraction—anything that helps you shift into a positive attitude. When you become accustomed to feeling happy, the negative things will still arise, but you will become less tolerant of them. You will turn your attention toward the positive, and you will begin to shift the baseline K mentioned. Then the trigger becomes less and less powerful. Eventually, you will not tolerate negative emotions for long; you will address them right away.
P: One of my triggers has been money. Any small thing can make me think I will become homeless. That emotion comes up, and I say, “I do not want to be there. I want to move on.” In the past, I tried to move on, but it did not work. Then my teacher said, “Money is the easy part. You just have to believe everything will be okay, and it will.” After about 15 years, every time I get fearful, I say, “Money is the easy part,” because I practiced it and created a new neural pathway. Even if I get triggered, I can return to alignment. I cannot live in la-la land every day. Sometimes a good day is simply not getting triggered and saying, “I want more days like this.”
P: In terms of pathways, I think it is also about vibrational levels. Positive feelings usually generate higher vibrational levels than negative ones. When feelings come up, they are unavoidable. For me, the point is not to stay in them any longer than necessary. Sometimes there is no avoiding them, so it is best to feel them rather than try to pre-pave. If you are not operating from a higher vibrational level, it is better to work through those feelings first, move toward the positive side, and then return to manifesting.
H: In a negative frame of mind, pre-paving can help, but it is meant to focus your energy positively on something upcoming—tomorrow, next week, next year, or something concrete, like lunch with friends. If it does not stimulate positive emotion, then it is not working for you and you should try something else. Pre-paving works best when it can create a positive thought or feeling.
P: I sympathize with S; she is having a difficult time right now. Grief is common right now for many reasons. It is hard to simply say, “I have to think happy thoughts.” That is not always effective. Do you have a more empathetic way to gradually pull yourself out? I often have to meditate deeply to find what I need to move on because I need help from outside myself. I cannot always think of those things on my own. I need outside help. I am a good meditator and receive a lot of help from my guides, so meditation is usually my go-to. Sometimes even that is hard. Do you have more concrete, helpful suggestions than just “be happy”? That does not always work.
H: It is hard. We talked about the Law of Economics, and it can be very difficult. The stronger your desire, the more likely you are to achieve it (receive the essence of your focus) whether you want it or not. We are glad you asked this question. Meditation is very good if you can access it, your guides, or that place where you feel good. Sometimes you cannot. What is another way?
Exercise. Stretching is helpful because it moves the muscles. Remember, negative emotions can become stuck in the body, and stretching can help release some of that stuck energy. Another option is stronger exercise, such as lifting weights, because it moves large muscle groups and can have a similar effect. It stimulates movement. When you stimulate movement you stimulate flow. Drinking water helps get the stuff out of the body. It you will touch your bare feet on sand, dirt or grass and shuffle them this helps to ground you and get rid of negativity. This is a kinetic technique: best in sand, dirt or cool, soft, green grass. These are some other techniques.
Time to meditate.
