Why Did Higgins Change Their Name to Higg(in)s?

Question: Will you clarify the name change from Higgins to Higg(in)s?

Higgins: All things begin in the interplay between something and nothing. Thought literally causes a coagulation of particles. From the carpet under your feet to the day’s events, your thoughts create your life out of the air around you.

The entity once read with us a description of the Higgs boson. It was simple and we will utilize the basics of it to explain creation to you, thus explaining our name. The Higgs boson is a fundamental particle. These particle/non-particles zip around you all the time. Envision them zooming across a room full of people. Groups of people are scattered about. They are talking about this and that. When the Higgs bosons reach the other side of the room some have gained mass and some have not. Emotion is the difference. Conversations, and the thoughts they provoke, stimulate emotions that vary from feeble to powerful. The Higgs boson gathers mass from interacting with your thoughts and specifically with the thoughts you think with powerful emotion.

When the entity finally understood this, we were able to shift our name to Higg(in)s. Higg(in)s better expresses our intent in interacting with you but would have been unexplainable prior to now.

Note from Cheryl: I wish I could remember the article they refer to. I would give credit to the author and direct you to the site.

The Value of Appreciation

Questioner: Will you please talk about the value of appreciation?

Higgins: Appreciation is the most important aspect of human life. Even as we type these words, we scan our collective wisdom banks for anything more important and find none. While there are many things important to the human being, appreciation more than any other thing assists with the creation of positive and enjoyable life experience.

We offer you this simple practice process: Every day we would have you find one thing to truly appreciate about yourself, one or two people who are important to you, and your surroundings. This practice takes only a few minutes a day and will stimulate the Universe positively on your behalf.

Why Don’t I Make Progress?

Questioner: Regarding your post, The Difference Between Maintanance and Progress…I feel that I do a lot of maintenance. Why don’t I make progress?

Higgins: Progress is a natural next step from maintenance. What progress would you like to see? Progress should be a natural progression and regular occurrence for a person who has mastered maintenance. If you are not seeing progress it is likely that you are not clearly defining what you expect to see. What defines progress for you?

We also know that maintenance is crucial to progress. If you see maintenance as a burden rather than a success, the emotional offering will push progress away. Burden and progress are two differing emotions that are not compatible.

The Difference Between Maintenance and Progress

Questioner: I want to make progress. What is the difference between maintenance and progress? For example, if I didn’t mow the lawn, the grass would become out of control. If I mow the lawn on a regular basis I’m not moving forward, I’m staying in place.

Higgins: A delightful question with two aspects to the response. As you are aware, the two are not the same, yet progress comes more readily when a steady ritual of regular maintenance is in place. Imagine yourself on a beach, walking in dry sand. Your feet slip with each step. You decide to move closer to the water. Now you are walking on wet sand. Wet sand, closer to the water’s edge, packs more tightly making a firm surface. As you walk on the solid surface better propulsion is achieved and forward momentum is easier. Forward progress is made with less effort.

In a similar manner, maintenance provides a stable foundation from which to move forward. Maintenance tells the Universe you are successful. Every mow of the lawn, every dish washed and put away, every vacuum bag emptied…these all tell the Universe that here stands a successful person. Whereas, when the lawn is unkempt, the dishes left out, the floor dirty the Universe understands that here is a person who is either disinterested or overwhelmed. The disinterested person moves through life accepting what comes. The overwhelmed person, who actively wants more nice things in their life, will receive more, certainly, but in the way of a leaking water heater. The ‘more’ that comes, comes in the form of overwhelm rather than progress. This is why maintenance is vital to a successful person who makes progress.

Let’s think now in terms of energetic offerings. The emotion offered by the advancing person says, “I’ve got this. No problem.” And it shows in their ability to maintain what is before them. This kind of energy aligns with progress. The struggling person, those who do not maintain, do not align with progress. In short, maintenance is the key to aligning emotionally with progress. Progress is a natural next step from maintenance.

Comparing Yourself to Others

Question: What do you have to say about comparing yourself to other people?

Higg(in)s: You are here, in this physical representation of your broader, eternal self, to explore you and to express you. You are here to interact with others. You are here to create with others. You are here to explore your physical environment. You are here to interact with your physical environment. You are here for the spiritual growth and expansion that naturally occurs in this environment in which you are free to choose.

There is very little value in comparing yourself to others because you came here to be you and they came here to be them. Looking at others and judging them relative to your experiences and desires, or judging yourself against theirs has no benefit because the comparison has no validity.

It is like this. You are an orange. They are an apple. You judge them to be less than you because you are thick skinned, round and a glorious shade of orange and they are not. Or you judge them to be better than you because they have delicate skin, a denser texture, and an appealing, sensual shape.

The problem with this is that you did not come here to be an apple and they did not come here to be an orange. Yet you all keep expecting one another to be the same and you are not, to want the same things but you do not. You can’t because you are not the same and did not come forth to be the same. You came forth to discover you as whatever kind of orange you are, and then to be the best orange you could be in this physical environment.

You did not come here expressly to love, to be kind, to be helpful, to laugh, to have fun, to be interested, to be generous, and to master crafts and develop skills. You came here for the growth and expansion that you knew this environment would stimulate in you. You knew that no matter what happened here, you would grow, but you anticipated that because these things feel good you would pursue them vigorously. You knew that maintaining these sorts of positive emotions was the superior method for achieving your goals. You anticipated that you would express yourself in myriad ways and that you would do so kindly, generously, and steadfastly because you would be happiest if you did. Moreover, you knew that your happiness was the marker that you would use to judge whether you were successfully living the life of the orange you wanted to be.

Having said all that, as you are deciding how best to express the orange (or apple) that you are we anticipate that you will look around at others for inspiration. When you find another that inspires you to be your best self, we do understand that the comparison of yourself against that which you strive to be can be very helpful.

Envision the World You Would Like to Live In

Living with the new Higg(in)s is like owning a piece of equipment that I don’t know how to use. Do you remember in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire when Harry had to open a golden egg to get the next clue in the Triwizard Tournament? It only shared its information when opened underwater, but how was one to discover that?

Since I am currently struggling to access Higg(in)s on any sort of regular and meaningful basis it seems logical to proceed with sharing what I’m learning no matter how discretely it arrives. Higg(in)s recently said, “We would also have you envision the world you would like to live in.” This is something I’ve been practicing faithfully since early January, with pleasant and regular success. The news is filled with endless options for practicing this technique.

Let’s start with three basics people need to live:

  • Fresh, clean air to breathe
  • Fresh, clean, delicious water to drink
  • Wholesome food to eat

According to Higg(in)s, if enough people concentrate on these three things on a regular basis with positive expectation, the kind of expectation that brings a gentle lift to the heart, our thoughts will create a paradigm shift. By the power of our positive thoughts this not just could, but would, bring a shift in such things as government policy, farming practices, pricing structure, technology, and even food delivery in war zones, and war tactics.

The Universe will figure out the how. We have to decide the what. Personally, I want:

  • fresh, clean air to breathe that carries pleasant and interesting scents
  • fresh, clean, delicious water to drink, the kind that tastes sweet and wonderful
  • wholesome, delicious food to eat that is nourishing and easy to prepare

In A World Behaving Badly, Part 2 of 2

Cheryl: I recently asked this of you: It feels like the world’s gone mad. It feels as though our economy is collapsing. People are, well, behaving really badly. It’s as though we have lost all decency. Our leaders are making abysmal decisions and those who are attempting to step up don’t seem to have viable answers either. Do you have a suggestion for us to stabilize ourselves?

You responded by asking us to stabilize our own emotions and gave us a practice period before answering this question further. Are you ready, or are we ready, to proceed?

Higg(in)s: Stabilizing is a one at a time process. As one person comes into emotional stability, they also begin to receive clearer information which arrives as inspiration and intuition. A stable person then is able to act on their intuition and inspiration. When a person receives inspiration and intuition from emotional stability and acts upon it from a place of emotional stability, the product is…well…we liken it to a placing a puzzle piece. It will be just the thing that is needed: the right thing in the right location at the right time.

Cheryl: This seems to suggest that we cannot do anything about the decisions our political leaders are making.

Higg(in)s: You can think positively about them. That is always helpful. But your most powerful creating is the creating you do for yourself. If you want something to change, find a solution and implement it. You will find the solution presents itself to you when you are emotionally stable and quiet inside.

Cheryl: Will you give us some positive thoughts to think about our leaders?

Higg(in)s: Certainly. But we ask you not to deflect our response above. You think there is something wrong? Get quiet. Listen. When you are inspired with a solution, be willing to implement it.

Thoughts about your world leaders: See them as they want to be seen. See them as genuine in their desire to do good. See them as effective, fair, likeable, decent human beings, doing what they think is right, and doing it with good intentions.

We would also have you envision the world you would like to live in. Statements like these are helpful: I like feeling safe and secure. I like feeling prosperous. I like to feel good. I like being inspired to action that absorbs my interest. I like being able to move with and through traffic seamlessly

Make up your own positive statements if you like. Read them every day. As millions of people begin thinking these kinds of thoughts your leaders will respond to the mass consciousness (as they are doing now) and the paradigm will shift.

In a World Behaving Badly

Cheryl: Higg(in)s, it doesn’t seem as though our leaders, any of them, know what to do.

Higg(in)s: About what?

Cheryl: Well, it feels like the world’s gone mad. It feels as though our economy is collapsing. People are, well, behaving really badly. It’s as though we have lost all decency. Our leaders are making abysmal decisions and those who are attempting to step up don’t seem to have viable answers either.

Do you have a suggestion for us to stabilize ourselves?

Higg(in)s: We very much appreciate your understanding that stabilization is a sensible starting point. The initial point of stabilization is, of course, yourself. No one else need be stable for you to enjoy your life, but you must maintain emotional stability at all times. We know that you are enjoying quite a bit of success at this. For those of you who need a reminder on how to stay emotionally stable we suggest forming a habit of consciousness. Consciously check your thoughts every so often. If they are not positive, shift your thought process. A good way to do this is to set a bell to ring every five minutes. Each time the bell rings review your thoughts. If they are not positive, bringing a positive feeling into your heart/chest area, shift your thoughts until they are positive and, importantly, bringing that uplifted feeling to your heart/chest area.

At first, the process can be tiring. The goal is to feel positive during your awake hours. If not positive, then neutral, but never negative or hard. We understand that sometimes there will be an occurrence that brings forth negative emotion. A sign of emotional stability is that you are able to choose to return to neutral or positive thoughts almost immediately.

Let’s stop here and give you a chance to practice stabilizing yourself. We will complete this response after a practice period.

Continuing Our Post ‘About Shootings’

In yesterday’s post we said, “… when a person enters a school and shoots children and adults, shoots them dead, they are showing you to you. They are helping you to learn and grow. It is extremely hard on their soul to do this. They need you to remember the brilliance of their being and if you cannot, then you are also at risk of being lost.

The goal here would be, of course, to remember their brilliance (and your brilliance) before they are called upon (by you) to perform the ugly deed.”

You might well argue with us saying, ” Higg(in)s, how can you say to me that I called upon them to do these ugly things? I am against shootings! I don’t want them! I want them to stop!”

We would respond that you cannot struggle against a thing that you do not want. You must find a way to love the shooter, and those shot, and yourself, and your neighbor whose opinion upon the solution differs from yours. You must do this because you are the shooter. You are those slain. You are the neighbor whose opinion differs from yours. You are, each of you is, a light segment of that which you call God. When you try to separate yourself from that which you are you suffer.

We ask you to look at the ugliest thing before you and find a way to love it. That thing you are struggling so hard to love is helping you achieve your pre-birth learning and growth goals. Until you find a way to, at minimum, withdraw your attention from these shootings, and at best to find deep and abiding appreciation for them, you are stuck. You are destined to live them over and over again until at last you withdraw your attention from them, or solve them from the love in your heart.

To find a solution from the love in your heart, look at the most recent shooter. Look at her until you realize she had hopes and dreams for a happy life. Her conscious-self did not know that her soul-self had agreed to do some awful thing at some point. She experienced deep inner misery moving to the cusp, the point of no return, when she finally pulled the trigger. She hoped you all would shift your consciousness towards positivity and release her from this thing that was so hard on her soul. But you did not. And worse, after she has sacrificed herself for your growth, you are ready to toss her away. Do not blame her for your misunderstanding of the Universal Law. Instead, if you look, you will find the answer to discovering your own happiness.

About Shootings

Let’s attempt a conversation regarding shootings. Humankind exists on an energetic continuum. You are able to experience this energy as daily life experiences. Let’s consider a school shooting one of many options that a person could experience in a day.

The energetic continuum that humans can experience stretches from abject depression and terror to joyousness and bliss. In between emotions on the continuum are hopelessness, then rage and anger, and after that, hope. After hope you would find eager anticipation and confidence.

When you come forth into the physical world you slide up and down this emotional continuum, and daily experiences are attracted by emotional points. Each one of you had some general idea of what you wished to learn while you are in your body. Each person you interact with assists you by providing an opportunity to learn what you wanted to learn, and to experience yourself as you proceed through life. Your goal, in a nutshell, is to find happiness.

When we state that you are experiencing yourself, we mean that literally. When you open your eyes in the morning, you are experiencing the physical representation of your thoughts and beliefs and the emotions you feel about your thoughts and beliefs.

Back to shootings, when a person enters a school and shoots children and adults, shoots them dead, they are showing you to you. They are helping you to learn and grow. It is extremely hard on their soul to do this. They need you to remember the brilliance of their being and if you cannot, then you are also lost.

The goal here would be, of course, to remember their brilliance (and your brilliance) before they are called upon (by you) to perform the ugly deed.
