Clarification on Relentlessly Pursuing Desires

Question: Higgins, you said this, “Relentlessly pursue your desires. Why? Because pursuing your dreams is the pathway to happiness. Unhappiness, discouragement and depression result from not pursuing your dreams.”

Why do you choose the word relentless? It seems hard when all you seem to teach is soft.

Higgins: Good. We choose relentless because our soft words are producing in some of you a soft attitude. You must develop a strong will towards the object of your desires. The technique is soft and easy but your will must be clear, precise and sure. There must be no wavering on your part.

The steps towards success are always small and achievable. That does not preclude the need to ‘put your back into it’. Take for example the weight lifter. If the weight lifter dreams of lifting 500 pounds they cannot sit in front of the television and desire it to be so. No amount of dreaming will create the strength of body to lift 500 pounds. The lifter must also practice regularly to create the strength needed to lift the desired goal weight.

So it is with any goal: one must take regular steps toward the goal and sometimes must take them with gritty determination.

Start With Yourself

Offering from Higgins:

Many of you are feeling pressured or urged from a subconscious level to do something to help in the world. When faced with actually taking some sort of action step the enormity of the world situation becomes overwhelming often so much so that any plan to take action is quickly squashed.

Rather than attempt to solve the world’s problems as you perceive them to be simply change yourself. Express a kinder side of yourself. Be kind to others. Be kind to yourself. That’s all you need to do right now and it is enough.

You Choose to Become Physical

Offering from Higgins:     Envision the non-physical essence of who you are as an artist. The reason each of you chooses (and you do choose) to become physical is to use the physical arena as a canvas for artistic Self expression.

Visioning a Kindness Paradigm

Question: Will you help me vision a Kindness Paradigm?

Higgins: Yes. Let’s have a conversation.

Let’s start by having you define kind.

Questioner: Merriam Webster says sympathetic, loving; of a sympathetic or helpful nature; of a forbearing nature: gentle; arising from or characterized by sympathy or forbearance.

Higgins: Give us also the definition of forbear.

Questioner: Again from Merriam Webster, forbear is to do without; to hold oneself back; to be patient.

Higgins: Good. In our definition of kind where the word forbearing is used insert instead patient.

Now define sympathy.

Questioner: Merriam Webster says an affinity, association or relationship between persons or things wherein whatever affects one similarly affects the other; unity or harmony in action or effect; inclination to think or feel alike; the feeling or mental state brought about by such sensitivity.

Higgins: Good. We smile for from general use we feel most of you believe sympathy to by synonymous with ‘feeling sorry for’ and this is an important distinction for our clarification of kindness. Nowhere in kindness is there room to feel sorry for anyone. You will understand this more clearly by remembering there are no victims. Sympathy then is the understanding that what affects one affects another and for one’s own benefit one will want to uplift another or change the way things are for common good. Kindness stems from this understanding and the resulting wanting.

From our perspective then, a Kindness Paradigm for life on Earth is one in which each of you commit words and actions from kindness, kindness being defined as arising from the understanding that what affects one affects another thus nurturing a desire to create harmony through positive word and action.

Let’s continue this conversation in a second entry thus allowing you to absorb the ideas we’ve presented here.

Giving Up Feels Like Relief

Offering from Higgins:

If you feel like giving up on your dream you are working it too hard. Relax.

(Although we will admit that sometimes giving up works wonders…giving up feels like relief and relief is always an emotional step forward.)

Can Nature Turn Against Humans?

Question: Can nature turn against humans?

Higgins: The answer is both yes and no.

Whether you envision nature as trees, insects, mountains, rain, the great outdoors, or weather in general, each aspect of nature is in itself a sentient being. Every sentient being, including mankind, has the capacity to live in accordance with its Eternal Truth or to deviate from Truth.

While nature has the capacity to turn against humans (which would be a deviation from its Truth) it does not. Nature does not deviate from its Eternal Source of Inspiration. Humans do. Animals who live in close contact with humans will do that. Nature does not do that.

Humans living in harmony with their Truth or even generally in harmony with their Truth will not be subjected to the harsh aspects of nature, unless of course that particular human enjoys testing their limits. In this instance, nature works with the human to provide the test of endurance.

What appears to be nature working against humans (the recent tsunamis, hurricanes and earth quakes are all good examples) is in actuality nature responding to humans in perfect harmony. These tempestuous Earth and weather conditions are simply a reflection of the human situation. Are you physicals not raging in much the same way?

Humans are killed in these for either of two reasons. The first reason is that they are not clearly aligned vibrationally with their own safety. The second is (on a completely unconscious level) they agreed to do so for the greater advancement of mankind. Remember that the Earth experience is one of contrast and all things that occur are opportunities for each of you to decide who you are more clearly.

For example, when these sorts of disasters happen do you not notice the generosity, kindness and assistance that is afforded the ‘victims’? As humans you determine that you are compassionate, kind, generous and have skills to offer. These seemingly awful disasters are really opportunities for you to be your best selves and to know yourselves more fully.

So can nature turn against humans? Sure. But it doesn’t. What it does do is clearly reflect mankind’s best and worst aspects. If mankind as a whole will turn their attention towards the best of themselves, search for inner peace and develop compassion for all, the weather patterns and the Earth itself will respond in like kind.

On Death

Question:     Will you talk about death?

Higgins:     Death: a good topic.

Death is simply an end to the physical body for you are all eternal souls.

Understand that your physical bodies are designed to last hundreds of years. Disease states and degeneration of body and mind that you physicals perceive as natural aging progression are in fact not natural at all. Instead, diseases and infirmities of any kind are actually metaphorical representation of negative emotions and beliefs one holds.

The body’s natural state is perfect health (both mental and physical) and perfect weight along with grace, strength and flexibility (albeit in varying amounts).

Death is designed as a natural endpoint. Much as you get up to leave when a concert or athletic competition or movie comes to its conclusion, death is simply a point when your life experience has come to its conclusion. Death feels unnatural sometimes because it arrives out of sequence meaning your life has not come to a natural conclusion.

If you will seek to live life as a clear reflection of the true beauty of your eternal being AND if you will relax and let life flow, accepting both that which you consider good and that which you consider bad, all aspects of your life experience will improve.

Life lived reflecting the truth of the beauty of your eternal soul will be far more satisfying. The result of feeling satisfied and fulfilled is improved mood and an improved outlook on life in general that translates metaphorically to good health, longevity and a life that comes to a natural and satisfying ending.

Regarding Metaphor

From Higgins’ website:
Regarding metaphor:  If you must ruminate, ruminate on something positive. That way, when your thoughts come back to you in physical format they will please you.
