Change Your Perception of Your Life to Change Your Life

Question: Higgins, I’ve been following your directions as well as that of Abraham towards living a life I really like for many years now. Seven years I think. My life is better and I would never stop trying to apply your wisdom to my life. I am certain that it helps. But damn it seems like it’s taking a long time to make real progress towards a life I love rather than just a life that is better than before.

Higgins: Yes.

Question: Ok, what I mean is why is it taking so long to change my life to be the life of my dreams?

Higgins: Because it is taking so long to change your perception of your life. If you will notice ways in which you are living the life of your dreams then the life of your dreams will arrive sooner. Instead, you keep noticing the ways in which you are not living the life of your dreams.

Question: This seems like an incomplete answer somehow.

Higgins: There are many factors in creating. You just asked about you. And for you your life will change faster if you will begin noticing how many ways you are living the life of your dreams already.

Walk Into Your Future and Your Desires

Offering from Higgins:

You physicals exist in a time/space scenario and you are here to create a physical representation of yourself. While you are non-physical, creation is easy and time/space do not exist so all things come to you quickly and easily.

Time and space feel thick and dense causing creation of the things you desire to feel slow and cumbersome. Such an amount of time exists between your creation and the arrival of that which you have created that most of you no longer understand the correlation between your thought/emotion/action and the events that occur in your life.

Everything you see and experience is created by you. It was created primarily in your past and all creation is a result of your thoughts, emotions and actions. Begin now to think about what you really want–not what society wants you to want, not what you’ve been taught you should want–but what makes you feel good when you think about the having of It.

Then walk forward into your future knowing that you will be offered ideas and opportunities to make your dreams reality and further, that if you will walk forward into your future far enough, whatever It is that you desire will be there waiting for you.

Finding Your Spiritual Gift

Question: How would a person recognize a special gift within themselves? I mean, if you’re a musician or a dancer or athlete, you know, but not everyone has such obvious gifts.

Higgins: Quite right. It does seem that spiritual gifts are hidden from sight sometimes. The truth is, however, that since few societies on your planet honor and celebrate spiritual gifts you all have lost the ability to recognize them when you see them. Further, even when recognized many spiritual gifts do not have marketability within society and therefore are not cultivated.

If your particular gift is obvious you know what to do already. Simply follow your heart and opportunity to express your gift will appear.

Not so obvious gifts might show up as recurrent thoughts you have about yourself and probably these thoughts seem improbable. You may feel as though you are a teacher and yet have little education or nothing obvious you want to teach or frankly, don’t like teaching.

You may have thoughts that seem grandiose such as, “I’m kind of like Jesus.” Or, “I’m here to save the world.”

Alternatively, you may have thoughts such as, “All I know how to do is love well.” Or, “I believe in spirit healing and healing the spirit.”

More concrete thoughts might appear as, “Jails are not working. We need to do something to get at the root of the problem.”

Whatever your gift is, it will probably seem improbable and you probably think it about yourself all the time.

Whatever your grandest vision is that you have of yourself, that is Truth for you. Start heading there.

Do What You Do for the Pleasure Received

Offering from Higgins:

Do what you do because it brings you pleasure– or at least some measure of relief or satisfaction. Examine your daily activities. If they do not bring you some kind of relief or satisfaction then why do them?

Even if you continue to do the very same things that you did before your examination you will be doing them with a different energy, one that recognizes the relief that the task brings, and that will increase your vibration and thus your enjoyment of life.

Why Do People Die?

Question: Why do people die?

Higgins: The briefest answer, Friend, is that a person dies when they are no longer in vibrational alignment with life in a physical body.

When you physicals are very young and still in close alignment with your eternal knowledge it is very easy to slip back into non-physical if the physical life experience you’ve chosen is not working out the way you planned. (There are many reasons this would be so.) Sudden Infant Death Syndrome is one way young ones slip back into non-physical.

After that close connection to your eternal knowledge becomes blurred and distorted it is harder to slip out of your body. While some of you do plan or expect to forget how to listen to your eternal knowing, most of you expect to effectively follow your guidance system. (Remember that you are guided by intuition and impulse and also by your emotions.)

When you do not follow your intuition and impulses your emotions will let you know. Intuition and impulses will always lead you towards happiness and satisfaction if your intent is set positively towards leading a fulfilling life.

Anytime you are in discord with life that is fulfilling you will begin to have physical manifestation of life experience that is dissonant and not a true expression of your eternal being. That means things you consider negative will happen and that includes sudden death by any number of means and ill-health that eventually leads to death including cancer, Alzheimer’s, and any other disease.

The human body is designed to work perfectly for hundreds of years and the expectation is that when you are complete with your physical experience you will simply leave the body much like children who experience SIDS do.

Death is a return ‘home’. Death is a return to the non-physical eternal aspect of self that each of you is. How you return home is simply a metaphor of how you lived your life. If you live in harmony with your eternal soul you will return to your eternal soul harmoniously.

Sometimes Life Needs a Reset Period

Offering from Higgins:

When your lives are not going the way you wish them to go it often requires a reset period where life slows down and may almost seem to stall much like a car whose engine stops running. When life restarts you will notice that it swings in the other direction.
