Make Your Dreams Feel Close

Offering from Higgins:

Do whatever you can to make your dreams feel close.

Drive through neighborhoods like the one you’d like to live in. Look through magazines for pictures that feel desirable to you. Read books or watch TV shows that depict life the way you want to live it.

Whatever you want it is only a matter of time before it is yours so do whatever you can to make your dreams feel close. This will hasten the arrival of your desires and make the waiting sweeter.

How Do I Get Inspired?

Question: How do I get inspiration if I don’t feel inspired?

Higgins: Please explain.

Question: When I sit down to write I often have no inspiration on the topic. Thoughts run through my head about all the other things I need to be doing.

Higgins: Right. So it’s not that you are not inspired, you just don’t like the inspiration you receive.

Question: If I don’t write when I have time then when would I be expected to do it?

Higgins: Now we are getting somewhere!

There is a natural ebb and flow to the creative genius you physicals all possess. The best option is to sit to create when the flow is there for the taking. Much like a cow that is ready to be milked there is a point when your creative genius is full and ready to be released.

Of course we realize that for many of you work and responsibilities repeatedly get in the way of this sort of pleasant creation.

The next best option (and the option for you) is a skimming option. Let us use the milk scenario again. When milk sits, the cream floats to the top and can be skimmed off. Create a notebook or other tool to commit flashes of inspiration (cream) to paper. The majority of the idea is commited to paper then later, when you have time to commit to your project, reading the idea acts to prime the pump of your creative well.

Question: So you’re saying that in those times when I sit and wait for inspiration I need something to prime the pump of my creativity? I thought that’s what Spirit Guides do.

Higgins: We are enjoying your questioning.

Yes. Priming helps. Spirit Guides do inspire you, often. Remember though, that it is you that gets an idea flowing. An idea picks up speed and momentum and creative force as you put attention to it. Gain the attention of your Spirit Guides by the intensity of your effort to head in a particular direction.

(Note that this last segment is incomplete regarding the assistance of Spirit Guides but close enough to truth for this topic.)

Question: I used to write free flow of thought for a few minutes before my real writing began. I guess that is what you mean. I haven’t done that lately because I’ve been short on time.

Higgins: Indeed, that is a very good way to get started.

Question: I guess that kind of answers my own question, doesn’t it?

Higgins: Indeed. And so we are complete.

You Are Master Creators

Offering from Higgins:

All things are metaphorical.

You physicals are driven to create for that is what you are: master creators. Because your existence is based in a time/space scenario the arrival of your desires sometimes takes a bit of time and in that waiting time many of you get discouraged and frustrated.

We would have you reconsider your attitude towards the arrival of things you want. The path to the arrival of your desires is what life is about and that is where the fun is.

We encourage you to look for the adventure right now, right where you are. As you begin to correlate your desires and actions with the ever unfolding events of your day-to-day life you will experience what we are talking about and when you get what we mean and the understanding of our words is incorporated into your very cells, then you will know the beauty of this life experience.

A Reminder About Emotions

Offering from Higgins:

Remember that you can only experience one emotion at a time. Emotions are a form of guidance from your Broader Self. Generally speaking, emotions that feel good indicate you are heading in the right direction and emotions that do not feel good indicate you are headed in the wrong direction for you.

You are expected to follow your internal guidance, your emotions. Whether you do or not is up to you. You have free will. Know that following your emotions towards things that feel good will bring an abundance of good feeling things with it. Moving forth, even when emotions are telling you no, no, no will bring forth an abundance of things you don’t like. Your choice.

Loneliness has Nothing to do With Being Alone

Question: Will you explain loneliness?

Higgins: It is an emotion like any other.

Question: Yes, but I sometimes feel lonely even when I am not alone. How can that be?

Higgins: Friend, you are simply acknowledging that something, some part of you, is missing. You realize already that the thing you call loneliness has nothing to do with being alone. Loneliness is really a recognition of separateness from a more whole self and simultaneously a pull to reunite with that complete self.

You will always have a calling to come home, or to fill up somehow, that cannot be turned off and can only be alleviated until you do return ‘home’ to yourself as a whole, non-physical entity. It is designed into you as a sort of homing device that you may always find your way back home, to the whole non-physical you that you are.

There is not enough alcohol, money or food to fill that void. That void cannot be filled by having sex or working long hours or by filling your days up full, full, full. It is a desire that cannot be extinguished in the physical state.

Instead, what you expected you would do is move ever towards those things that feel good and that you enjoy participating in. And you knew that if you got off track or fell away from the pursuit of those happy making things, that you would be offered assistance to know what to do. In this case, your feeling of loneliness pulls you towards connection with your Broader Self which will always lead to that feeling of completeness. In seeking that connection with Broader Self you will also stumble upon activities and expression of self that make you feel good.

Should you fall completely out of synch the worst that will happen is disease of body or mind will overcome you or you will end your own life and at that point you will return to your Broader Self. There simply is no where else to go, you will always be drawn home in some way or another. So since you’re already here, and there is no place to go but back home, why not have fun until your imminent return home?

We understand the denseness of your environment and the inherent obstacles you face in the game of life. Know ye, there is no place to go but home so enjoy your game and we’ll see you when you get back.

Blessings from all of us to all of you.

Make a Little Time for Yourself

Offering from Higgins:

There is always enough time to do the chores. Take a little time every day to pursue your heart’s desire. The chores will still be there and they will not seem so burdensome once you’ve exhausted (or at least drawn upon) your personal well of creativity.

Forming a Life You Love

Offering from Higgins:

We’d like to offer an activity to assist you in forming a life you love.

Get paper and writing instrument. Sit down in a quiet space. Ask yourself, “Who am I?”

Allow free flow of thought and simply write down every word or group of words you think of. Write down all the things that come to mind until the flow stops.

If there are any negative descriptions, cross them out. They are not Truth. Instead, focus upon the positive aspects of yourself. Those positive aspects are Truth about you. So how can you begin expressing them today?

For example, let’s say ‘artist’ is on your list. How can you, today, express your artistic side? You may not have all day to create a work of art but do you have 10 minutes to prepare a bouquet of flowers? Look at the clothes you have on. Do they say, “Artist in here”? If not, you may wish to begin dressing in a way that expresses your inner desire.

Let’s say you have ‘writer’ on your list. Do you have 30 minutes to allow free flow of thought regarding the book you’ve been meaning to write? Or might you put a small pad of paper and pen in your pocket and make a habit of writing down ideas as they flow to you throughout the day? They will you know, if you make space for them.

If ‘wife’ or ‘husband’ is on your list, can you think of something nice to do for your spouse?

Whatever it is that you find to do it doesn’t have to take much time for it is the creation of harmony between you and the thing you say you are that you are working towards and the universe does not measure the size of the action but instead measures the sincerity and conviction of the intent behind the action.

As you discover more and more ways to express your true self life will smooth out. You will discover exactly who you are and in expression of that there is great happiness.

You are loved.
