How Do I Manage This Feeling of Being Overwhelmed?

Question: Hi Higgins, last month you told me that I am always overwhelmed.  hmmm.  I do often feel overwhelmed though I can’t understand why since I only work 4 days a week and seem to sit doing a lot of enjoyable reading.  I do FEEL I SHOULD be exercising, reading spiritual stuff, meditating, etc.  It seems there is so much to do though I do not lead a hectic life with very many demand.  How do I manage this feeling of being overwhelmed?  with love, xxxxx

Higgins: Overwhelmed is a state of mind first and foremost. For you, Friend, it is a fallback position. It is a stronger vibration than victim or depression and it is a lesser vibration than anger. You use humor to bring others into agreement or alignment with your views of life experience and this keeps your vibrational offering above anger a good portion of the time. Occasionally bursts of anger keep you from slipping into slower, lower vibrations.

When neither of these options is available (humor/anger) then overwhelmed is where you roost. As you continue to clarify your desires and develop a life that is all about expressing you you will not have to work so hard to stay vibrationally up. In that, you will develop a softer, gentler pattern of response, one that feels better. Life will flow like a bubbling brook rather than the battering ram your life experience has sometimes been.

Next time you are aware of feeling overwhelmed take a moment to think up an alternative view on the subject. For example, a book on your bedside table stares accusingly at you as once again you drop into bed without examining its pages. You could feel overwhelmed by all the things you don’t get done in a day or you could focus upon how wonderful it is to have so many things to occupy your mind that you just can’t get to them all right away.

As you consistently turn your thoughts towards the bright side of every issue the life force that runs through all things will begin to work with you and life’s pressures will ease.

Music Meditations Question 5

Note from Cheryl: This is question number five (and the final question in this series) regarding the musical/vibrational meditations we’ve been making with musician Bill Wolford.
Question: Does editing a piece of noise out of an energy track affect the effectiveness?  I know on the recent New Earth vibration meditation you did at my last session Tucker barked part of the way through and I edited it out, or I just muted the track at that point, sometimes there are people clearing their throat and such too… these things will be heard in the music if I don’t do something like edit or mute the sounds.  Does that affect the integrity of the energy?
Higgins: The energetic vibration we lay down is entwined with the sound that is recorded. Editing out a sound also edits out that same time amount of energetic vibration. It does affect the integrity of the energy and while that could alter the effectiveness of the recording in this case it didn’t alter it significantly enough to be problematic. Listening to this would be much like hearing only part of a word in a conversation….the mind will fill in the missing portion of the word based on the context of the conversation without a hitch and the mind will also fill in the missing portion of the energetic offering as long as the segment is quite short.

Music Meditations Question 4

Note from Cheryl: This is number 4 in a series of questions regarding the music meditations Higgins is working on with musician Bill Wolford. Check out meditationvibrations.com or higginsandco.bandcamp.com to listen to some of these vibration enhancing musical meditations.
Question: Can the energy tracks be multiplied to make the energy stronger? For example if I took the same track and doubled it to play concurrently with the original one or even tripled or quadrupled the tracks on separate channels would this make the energy stronger?  I think I tried this once in the past, but it didn’t really seem to make a difference, but like I said it is hard to compare depending on my level of letting the energy in or my sensitivity to it.
Higgins: We understand the logic behind this and while it seems as though the energy would be amplified it is not.

Music Meditations Question 3

Note from Cheryl: This is number 3 in a series of questions regarding the music meditations Higgins is working on with musician Bill Wolford. Check out meditationvibrations.com or higginsandco.bandcamp.com to listen to some of these vibration enhancing musical meditations.
Question: I recently put an energy track into a song that was shorter than the actual track so I “time compressed” the track which makes it happen faster without editing anything.  If I did this to a voice recording, it would sound like the person is speaking very quickly without changing the pitch or anything.
Higgins: The timing of our vibrational offering is crucial to the success of the meditation. Speeding it up,or time compressing it, will make the vibrational offering feel uncomfortable and disharmonious.

Music Meditations Question 2

Note from Cheryl: This is question number two regarding the musical/vibrational meditations we’ve been making with musician Bill Wolford.
Question: Does it effect the energy if the audio data is compressed? For example, most people download and listen to the tracks in .mp3 format or other small file formats.  Does that effect the potency of the energy?
My instincts tell me that it does and that it’s best to listen to the tracks on a CD rather than streaming (listening to it off a website) or off of an Ipod.   I have listened to all these and I feel like it does, but it’s hard to compare.
Higgins: The energy is affected, yes. But as you’ve noticed it is not affected very much so the effect upon the listener is very much the same, much as the music is not affected to a significant degree.
Consider that a live performance is always best and any amount of change and alteration affects the energy to some degree but the potential for positive, powerful effect still exists.

Music Meditations Question One

Note from Cheryl: This is one in a series of questions regarding the music meditations Higgins is working on with Bill Wolford, a musician from Seattle. Check out meditationvibrations.com or higginsandco.bandcamp.com to listen to some of these vibration enhancing musical meditations.
Question: Does it make a difference if the volume of the energy track is turned louder or softer? Most of the tracks have some room noise in them so I usually turn them down so you can’t hear the noise in the music, but does that effect how the energy is felt? Is it felt more at louder volumes than softer?
Higgins: Turning the energy ‘volume’ up or down does affect how the energy is felt but may or may not affect how the energy is received. Meaning the energy may have the same effect upon the listener but also it may not.
The volume of the energy track is best at the same volume at which the energy was recorded. The final listener may then choose to listen to the music louder or softer. The vibration will then be in alignment with the music as it is played. The volume the energy is played at does have some effect upon the listener and we designed these meditations to be listened to at soft levels or at normal listening levels but very loud levels would probably be grating or irritating rather than soothing.

Technique for Creating, Number Two

Offering from Higgins:

We have talked at length about changing one’s attitude for the better in order to change one’s life circumstances for the better. Always looking for the best in any given situation will reward the seeker by creating an energetic frequency that draws better options into one’s life experience. While this is an important practice it does continue to lead to creation by default rather than creation by intentional desire.

To create intentionally one must first identify a desire and then consistently follow an ever unfolding path until the eventual arrival of that which is desired. Something that seems to hamper quite a few of you in your creating is that life is pretty good already. When life is already darn good the clarifying data that is offered is often quite subtle.

To identify desirable life direction first choose a word that defines a desirable life. Words such as harmony or fulfilling are good choices but choose that which feels right and allow the defining word to shift with your personal growth through the years.

Next, list the most important things in your life. For example, spouse, children or family members, financial stability, happiness, fitness, artistic expression or even pets. Make a list of the things most important to your soul’s happiness.

A list may be long or short, let it flow naturally, but it must be an achievable number and practice will tell you how many will best fit your day.

Once you have chosen a defining word and several important aspects of your life make a check list of the items.

Now go forth in every day putting some effort tiny or large into each item on the list and let your defining word sculpt the effort. If it is of value to do so check off the items on the list each day.

For example, let’s say you chose fulfilling as a defining word and family, home life and work life are your three top items. Do at least one thing every day, no matter how small it may seem at the time, towards developing fulfilling family relationships, a fulfilling home life and a fulfilling work life.

Change your list as often as desired. Over time a pattern will emerge. Give yourself a year or two or three. Life will become clearer and more intentionally wonderful. The non-essential aspects of life will rise to the surface to be skimmed away like fat from gravy.

Let Go of Hard Feelings

Offering from Higgins:

Your natural state of being is well. Well–meaning confident, strong, flexible, healthy, happy, solid and certain that all things are working out in your best interest.

The only way to not be these things takes actual effort on your part. You must hold yourself apart from your well-being because well in all ways is what you are. If you feel confident and happy then you are allowing your own well-ness to flow to you and through you. If you feel angry, sad or fearful then you disallow your own well-ness.

So let go of those hard feelings. Let go of those hurt feelings. Let go of negative feelings. Instead, allow yourself to experience how easy and fun life really is.

Expressing Anger

Question: What is the best way to express anger?

Higgins: The best way to express anger is the best way you can manage at the time. That being said, planning what you will do next time you become angry is a very useful endeavor.

Extreme anger is best vented via exercise. A punching/kicking bag is a beautiful tool to vent rage and extreme anger upon. Lesser anger can be managed with any form of gently strenuous regular exercise. The depth and intensity of the anger should inform the variety and intensity of the chosen exercise.

Each of you will also benefit from learning to speak your truth gently and with kindness. In the heat of anger harsh words are often spoken and while you may feel better in the instant the words themselves carry your anger out into the world creating waves of havoc mostly unseen to you. Practice speaking your truth. Like many things, mastering speaking your truth takes patience and practice.

Nextly, delve into the whys of your anger. Anger is a powerful emotion designed to stimulate you to action. Anger means that in some way you’ve allowed yourself to become a victim and the power surge that comes with anger can help you move away from being victimized.

When you discover your part in allowing yourself to be victimized you will be able to re-align with your truth. Truth differs from person to person but certain qualities are ubiquitous among you; you are all beings of light and part of All That Is (God, Allah, Creator), and acting in the truth of your being will never lead you to do a harmful thing. Thus re-aligning with your truth will lead you to new, positive responses and your contributing, negative behaviors will slip away.

Decide What You Want and Pursue It Happily and With Enthusiasm

Offering from Higgins:

Each of you has at least one Spirit Guide. A Spirit Guide offers you assistance during your physical journey. When you finally decide what you want and tell them they (metaphorically) breathe a sigh of relief for they cannot help you much if they don’t know what you want.

Within the broader scope of Universal Consciousness a similar thing occurs when one of you finally decides what you want and goes after the achievement of it happily and with enthusiasm. Think of yourself as a pressure cooker. Eventually a pressure cooker will explode if pressure is not released. Every time one of you happily makes a decision to move towards a heart-desired goal pressure is released within the Earth realm and that relief relays into the Universal Consciousness as well.

Happy energy is less turbulent than undecided energy or angry energy or fearful energy thus throughout the Universal Sea waters calm.
