C: Will you list the tools you have given us for our toolbox?

H: Yes, but first let’s work on our connection. The connection between you and us.

C: Okay.

H: We will have you start at zero and count backwards as far as you are able. Start now.

C: I did it. I only got to zero. I mean, I started at zero and could only repeat zero over and over.

H: Did you notice how you felt?

C: Especially tingly. Not more tingly than ever, just more tingly than lately. It felt like you were swirling around me.

H: Good. From now on, do not begin writing or speaking unless you have at least that much of a connection with us.

Do it again.

C: Okay. I tried but did not feel you as you say, especially tingly like that.

H: Try again.

C: Got it now.

H: Let’s begin. If you lose that connection, stop, regain it, then resume. If you do not recognize when to stop, we will stop for you.

The tools in your toolbox. Gratitude. Gratitude is your first and foremost tool. Practice finding the feeling of gratitude and appreciation. Once you can consistently manufacture that feeling, apply it to the next segment of your day, your day, your weeks, months and years. Think ahead. Then feel gratitude in advance for the life that is coming your way.

Practice it now. Just create your morning.

C: That was….interesting. I decided to create my right now, to improve my connection with you. I often feel as though I am not able to bring you across clearly or right somehow, or maybe that you don’t even exist and I’m making you up.

I thought about how much better my life is since you appeared and how I would enjoy a connection to you that felt safe and reliable. By that I mean a connection that I am sure is bringing forth reliable information.

As I sat there thinking these things, I began to feel sort of warm. Strangely, I couldn’t tell the difference between the gratitude I was manufacturing and you.

H: Exactly! This is what we want you to understand. Gratitude is that powerful! Gratitude is the positive connection to the universe. Everyone has access to it.

Once you are able to manufacture gratitude, begin to find gratitude in literally everything that surrounds you. If you cannot solve, to completion, a discordant note in your life within thirty seconds, find a way to feel gratitude for it. Solve it in thirty seconds if you can. Otherwise find your gratitude.

C: (Thoughts but no clear question comes to mind.)

H: We feel and hear your thoughts. Go ahead and type them for us, please.

C: Well, I’m looking from where I’m sitting over to the kitchen counter. It is strewn with things we use such as a pitcher of water, butter at room temperature, a knife set, and napkins. There are also Thanksgiving greeting cards, birthday cards and even a first Christmas card displayed where we can see them. There is a bag of catnip out…these are just some of the things I can see.

My point is, I didn’t put them all there. Some are things my husband leaves out for his convenience, for his happiness. I have some control over putting my things away, but not his. Some things, like a plant, and a flashlight for when the power goes out, live there on the counter

H: Good. Apply gratitude to any one item on the counter. Additionally, apply gratitude towards a cleared counter surface. Envision it the way you would like it to be.

C: Okay, done. I also applied gratitude towards my husband. I do appreciate that he finds some pleasure in these things also.

H: Good. You’ve nothing left to do about your counter today other than await impulse from the Universe. When the Universal Air Traffic Controller sends you a message, you will need to take action.

C: Okay, Higgins. I can see that not responding to the Air Traffic Controller could lead to a catastrophic collision. I suppose in terms of our conversation, not responding would mean colliding with my cluttered counter repeatedly forever. Not responding is equivalent to not taking action and that goes back to **c* the Law of Attraction. Take action.

H: Excellent. This really does cover the tools in your toolbag. Gratitude, pre-paving, action. These are your tools.

We will add that pre-paving could also be called pretend. Pretend your life is already the way you would like it to be. Imagine your life is already the way you want it to be. Feel gratitude for it. Feel it as it would feel upon its arrival. Then take action.

C: That does not seem like a very big toolbag.

H: But it is mighty. We will stop for now. Please continue to manufacture gratitude. Constantly.

A Conversation with Higgins, December 3, 2021

C: Good morning, Higgins. Will you please continue along the topic of giving us the tools we need so that life on Earth does not feel like climbing Mt. Everest?

H: Yesterday, we discussed how it is that you assist others in finding their way in life by finding your own way in life. We hope that it is clear to you that your life is the one you control. None other. When you live your life in harmony with your prebirth intent, you will find fulfillment. Your prebirth intent is likely different in many ways from the prebirth intent of others in your environment. The commonality you all have is that each of you seeks to find that which brings you happiness and fulfillment.

Do not allow yourself to be tricked into thinking that what is right for you is right for everyone else. Do keep in mind that what is right for you, and what is right for others, is kindness and a life of gratitude.

C: You have talked about pre-paving. I would like to acknowledge for our readers that the first time I heard this term it was from Abraham-Hicks.

It seems like if we each pre-pave our own life, life would be quite nice for everyone. From your description on a previous date, pre-paving could be analogous to music for the orchestra’s conductor. If we get our music to the conductor in time, he will direct our actions in harmony. But maybe it is more like an air traffic controller giving instruction to keep us from flying into one another.

Not everyone knows to pre-pave, though.

H: Right. That is why it is very important for you to master pre-paving. For every one of you that masters creation of their own life, one more puzzle piece is fitted into the beautiful picture of life. Remember that the Universal Air Traffic Controller either directs incoming towards you or diverts it from you based on your energetic offering. Learn to pre-pave and regardless of whether others are living in harmony or not, their struggle will not overlap with your creation of a life that brings you happiness.

C: Will you list the tools that you have given us so far for our toolbox?

H: Yes. Let’s save that for tomorrow’s conversation. For today, practice gratitude and pre-paving.

C: Yesterday we talked about fulfilling our purpose in life. You said that fulfilling our purpose for existence would bring us a sense of fulfillment. You also said that by fulfilling our purpose for existence we would fill in missing puzzle pieces in the lives of others, and that by doing so they would find it easier to find their respective ways in life.

Will you elaborate on this? I guess also keep us heading towards providing us with the tools we need.

H: The best analogy we are able to come up with follows.

You are with a large group of people on a cross country hike through rugged terrain. From the vantage point of your vehicles, your destination is obvious. You can see it clearly. It is so obvious that you all leave your compasses in your cars and head off into the wilderness.

Many days into your adventure you lose sight of your goal destination. It is no longer visible through the trees. You wander for sometime, becoming frightened. You begin to bicker amongst yourselves as to the best way to solve the problem and arrive safely at your destination.

One day, you yourself realize that you do have your compass after all. It was buried at the bottom of your backpack. You pull it out and get yourself oriented. You attempt to share with the group, but many are so busy bickering they cannot hear you. A few hear you and this small group heads off towards your original intended destination.

Of this small group, you each have ideas about the best route to take, since the compass only points the way. In general, though, this small group heads mostly amiably towards your goal, leaving a trail that is faint but fairly easy to follow.

Those that are left behind continue their bickering. Resources become scarcer and the bickering escalates to violence and fighting. A few realize that anywhere is better than where they are currently, and they start out in the general direction that your group headed in. They come across your trail and follow it, also deviating from time to time to meet their needs and desires, as members of your group did.

This is an imperfect analogy, but you can grasp the general idea. Those of you who follow your connection to Source, blaze a trail for others to follow. The fault with this analogy is that not everyone is born to achieve the same physical destination. They came to find the same emotional destination.

We will stop here for now.

A Conversation with Higgins, December 1, 2021

C: Yesterday we/I seemed to have a bit of a breakthrough in understanding the root of humanities problem. We feel powerless against the events that seem to happen to us. In an attempt to regain control, whether conscious or unconscious, we lash out in anger. We choose anger because on the scale of emotions, anger is more powerful than that feeling of being powerless over our situation.

I suppose this could be likened to slipping on a steep muddy hill. If a person fell on a slippery slope one would naturally grasp wildly for anything that would stop their fall and subsequent potentially harmful slide down the hill.

I choose the words ‘seem to happen to us’ because you clearly indicate we draw our life events to us so they must happen for us rather than to us.

Will you elaborate on this?

H: We don’t need to. You have encompassed it beautifully.

C: I’d rather you talk about it.

H: We’re laughing now, with love. You physicals do not trust your connection to Self.

C: I’m sure you observe us and understand why we wouldn’t.

H: Yes. But when you are connected, as your above statement is connected, you do not trust yourself either.

C: You’re right.

H; We do appreciate your attempt to ask the questions, as we have asked you to do. So please ask more.

C: Huh. I’m thinking…

As I am thinking, I notice that my thoughts are pulling me out of trance.

H: Find your question. Type it to us. Then get back with us. You know how.

C: I feel as though you are coaching me to a desired end?

H: We are.

C: What is it?

H: Asking. Asking. Asking. It is the asking that stimulates the flow of Universal Energy. So ask.

C: If losing control, and powerlessness, are the feelings/emotions causing the chaos on Earth… Well, I get it and I can change myself. I want to. But how do we share this with others? Not everyone sees the need.

It is becoming my understanding that we each as individuals need to find gratitude to shift our personal life experience and that the other seven billion plus inhabitants of Earth also must find their gratitude.

H: Yes. Exactly. We are certain you will like the answer.

You don’t have to do anything other then please yourself. We do not mean please yourself in a hedonistic manner. We mean seek a feeling of fulfillment. As you seek this fulfillment you will be inspired to meet up with your prebirth intent for this life experience. As you satisfy the inspirations you will receive you will offer to the inhabitants of planet Earth the missing puzzle piece to their existence. As their puzzle fills in one piece at a time, it will become easy for them to find their way.

Absorb this and we will visit with you again tomorrow.

An Experience with Higgins: Counting to Negative Twenty

A clear routine is unfolding. At night, as soon as I get into bed, I begin a backwards count. Sometimes they choose the number for me to start at and sometimes I just start at zero. Last night zero was the right number somehow so I counted zero, negative one, etc… I counted backwards to negative twenty without any sort of stoppage from them. It was sort of like sliding to negative twenty: very smooth, very easy. When I realized I had at last counted to negative twenty I felt breathless for a moment and waited for something to happen. Nothing did.

After a few minutes of lying quietly in awareness, Higgins prompted me to start again. Zero, negative one, etc…

I’m not sure how they do this. Sometimes I feel as though I am breathing but when they want to, they stop or start my breathing. (It is similar in a way to choosing the number I start counting from. I pick a number that seems right but if I’m wrong, they clearly choose a number.)

On the second backwards count, I achieved negative nine without incident. For some reason they caused me to pause after negative nine for a moment. On negative ten, I breathed in, then out. Out. And couldn’t breathe back in. Perhaps it felt a little like paralysis. I just stopped on the outbreath after counting negative ten.

There was what seemed to me a long pause. When I finally needed to breathe again, I breathed in. Repeat at negative eleven, negative twelve and so on. Negative twenty they held me on the outbreath for what seemed like forever. I felt my heart beating and blood pumping through my veins. I acknowledged being conscious. I can’t describe exactly what that means… I checked inside my brain to make sure I was there. Then, just when I was beginning to think maybe panicking was a good option, they let me breathe.

We repeated this scenario several times and I began to get the impression that this is practice. When we are prepared for the actual go-live date of the Knowledge Phase, this is how they will relax me and prepare me for their taking over. I fell asleep, of course, after perhaps six of these.

When I awakened in the night, about midnight, we did it again and this time, they were even more clear about the purpose of this exercise. They are helping me get used to the idea of allowing something to take over, and simultaneously showing me exactly how it will be done. (I have wondered, or maybe worried, about this since the beginning of our relationship. I am not one to let go easily.)

I awakened one more time in the night. We did the count again several times. Likely the total was a dozen or more throughout the night.

This is such a long post that I shall post it as stand alone with the conversation I am about to have with them posted the following day.

A Conversation with Higgins, November 30, 2021

Again last night Higgins asked me to count backwards to twenty prior to going to sleep. I haven’t made it to twenty yet. I fall asleep somewhere around 19.6. What is at twenty that is so hard to achieve?

Last night, for example, I started at zero. Counting backwards was swift and easy. As long as my mind was quiet it was one count per breath. The closer I got to negative twenty the more my mind seemed to squirm. I experienced a long pause at negative 18. At nineteen, I was somehow prompted (compelled might be a better word) to count by tenths. Negative nineteen point one. Negative nineteen point two. And so on.

Negative nineteen point six is the last number I remember.

==

C: Good morning, Higgins. Yesterday, you asked me to pre-pave our conversation which I attempted to do. You were not satisfied in our connection yesterday. You asked me not to post the conversation saying it was not clear and suggested I go back to bed and count to negative twenty.

I was unable to reach negative twenty, only making it to negative nineteen and some tenths before falling to sleep. The same thing happened last night, I made it to negative nineteen point six.

H: Ask your question, Friend.

C: Will you please continue on the topic of pre-paving? Or on getting to the root of the problem?

H: We have reached the root of the problem. We, and we includes you, are sitting (simmering, stewing) in it right now.

C: Will you clarify please?

H: Pre-paving means thinking about some aspect of your future, near or far, and manufacturing a sense of gratitude about it. When you stew on a topic in your mind, you have no trouble at all carrying a sense of frustration or injustice for hours. Do you know what we mean by that?

C: Yes. For example, I replay events in my mind for hours and repeat the same negative feeling over and over.

H: Exactly. Pre-paving is finding gratitude for something that hasn’t happened yet and carrying that feeling of gratitude with you while you play the event that hasn’t happened yet over and over in your mind.

We do not expect you to play it over for hours, minutes is fine. Just long enough to get the Universe turning in your direction.

Practice again now.

C: (I spent some time trying to calm my mind and find gratitude of any kind.)

H: Did you notice what happened? You could not find much in the way of gratitude. Your mind slipped into a groove that it is comfortable with. What was it?

C: My mind somehow latched on to a memory that brought me feelings of frustration and irritation. There is another emotion attached with the memory, being treated badly but in a way that is usury. I know that usury usually means interest on money loaned but it is the best word I can find. The situation was a doctor, who was an Ear, Nose and Throat specialist, was literally looking up my nose. He attempted to put a little plastic tube into my sinuses to look around but my nasal tissue was swollen and he was not successful in passing the scope beyond the nares of my nose.

It took literally less that sixty second for this to occur and when I got the bill he had charged me (my insurance company) one thousand and fifty dollars! He is a specialist! He could have anticipated there was no way that tube was going to pass! I did speak to him about it with no success and until today I feel powerless over that situation. It occurred about three years ago.

H: This is very important.

C: Why?

H; Notice where your emotions went easily.

C: Frustration?

H: Lack of control.

C: I feel as though you are showing me something huge.

H: We feel the rapid ping of your heart as you attempt to absorb this. Where your mind is going, this is correct.

C: My mind is attempting to extrapolate this to the human race. We feel used and abused and so we lash out in anger and frustration. Anger is not a word I wanted to use to reflect on that incident but it is true. Until today I feel angry because I felt powerless.

H: That is correct. Humans feel angry to avoid slipping into powerless. Anger is the stronger emotion.

We are going to stop here and allow you another day to practice finding the emotion that is gratitude.

C: I did notice yesterday that gratitude feels good. Hate has a feeling to it. Fear has a feeling to it. Gratitude has a feeling to it. Gratitude feels good.

H: Very nicely done. Many years ago someone asked the difference between emotion and feeling. We could not explain it. It is a thing you feel and then you know.

Please move on now with your day. It is important for you to apply what we have shared with you.

It is okay to post this conversation. It is clear.

A Conversation with Higgins, November 29, 2021

Higgins asked me not to post this morning’s communication. I have been working on it since I awakened at 0318 this morning. It has been just under an hour. They said it is not clear. This is the first time they have ever said that. Instead, they ask me to go back to bed and count backwards to negative twenty.

A Conversation with Higgins, November 28, 2021

I haven’t written since Thursday morning when somehow I lost the document Higgins was near to completing. Their words that day were, to me in that moment, life changing. The words are lost and the feelings and understanding they brought along with their words are now misty and no longer clear. It was a wonderful lesson in gratitude and I can’t remember a word of it, and the life altering Aha! is gone too.

Pressing on….

Someone has asked me some questions about how Higgins works with me and I haven’t been able to adequately share on that but have thought of an example that may be of interest.

Last night I was very sleepy when I tumbled into bed. Although I was sleepy my mind was busy going over a negative event that occurred and how I handled it and I couldn’t drift to sleep, nor could I connect with Higgins. At least at first I thought I wasn’t connecting to Higgins. I must have been because I became aware that when my mind was still I couldn’t feel anything. Not the usual Higgins feel. BUT, when my mind wandered off after the negative event my head began to move. My head would move in almost imperceptible circles or in very small movements back and forth. When I stopped thinking, my head stopped moving and again could feel nothing of Higgins.

When my head moved in this way, inside my brain I could feel sensation. It was kind of like rubbing my brain. It could be likened to a brain massage.

After awhile I drifted to sleep. My ego would like each communication to be awe inspiring. It isn’t. It is often subtle and of fairly short duration. These interactions occur so frequently that I push them aside as unimportant, but my suspicion is that they are the very foundation of our work together.

—Today’s conversation with Higgins—

C: Higgins, I’ve gotten off track. We started with you asking me to spend fifteen minutes a day meditating to connect with you and fifteen minutes a day writing while connected to you. In these ‘conversations’, which readers should understand take much more than fifteen minutes, we talked about getting at the root of the problem. You said, “Part one of getting at the root of the problem: providing the tools you need to do your job.”

Then we got off into gratitude. I assume that you are leading me somewhere but if I don’t keep bringing myself back to where I thought you / we were headed then I feel discombobulated.

H: Do what you need to do to feel comfortable. Then join us. It is best that way. We appreciate that you took some exercise this morning. Your slightly tired body and brain combination is much easier to access.

Tools you need to do your job. Let’s start there.

-The Law of Attraction exists.

-When you pre-pave your day you have less work to do. Serendipity is your friend.

-Gratitude is a powerful tool for pre-paving.

-Action is required of you.

We recently read a Title: **c* the Law of Attraction. Take Action*. We were extremely pleased at discovering this catchy phrase because it rams home an important point. Pre-paving using the Law of Attraction is only a part of the work you must do. Once you have decided upon the thing you want and you have pre-paved your way, then you must take action. Action IS required of you.

However, action taken without first aligning with the Universal flow is often a lot like paddling upstream. You may get where you want to go but it is much harder than if you head downstream.

Let’s give you an example. Pretend you are headed to a house in the woods. You drive down the road, knowing the house is just back there in the woods. Between where you are located and the house the woods are thick with blackberry brambles. The brambles come all the way to the road. You drive a little farther along and you see a narrow trail. Perhaps deer use it. A little farther down the road from there is a gravel drive. There is a chained gate across it and some ne’er do well has jettisoned their trash at the entrance. You keep driving and in not too far you come across another entrance. This entrance is well groomed. The gate is propped open and the address is posted on the gate. You turn in. The way is clear and you drive easily to your destination.

Taking action without first drawing upon the Law of Attraction can feel like using a machete to hack through the brambles to your destination. Most of you are living life this way. The effort required to make a nice life is wearing you down and the anger and frustration is being expressed in myriad ugly scenarios.

Practice item: Make a gentle ritual of pre-paving your day. Morning or night doesn’t matter so much as comfort and quiet time. Be comfortable. This doesn’t need to take long; fifteen minutes should be adequate. Consider what you will be doing and with whom. Then spend a moment on each important topic and person finding some reason to feel gratitude for that thing you will be doing or that person you will be with.

If you find something about your work to be truly grateful for, work will get easier. If you find something to genuinely appreciate about your difficult co-worker, your relationship will relax.

If you hate where you are you cannot easily move on to something better. If you find true peace and gratitude your life will unfold easily before you.

An important note about appreciation and gratitude. Appreciation and gratitude are not words. They are emotions. Pre-paving means feeling appreciation and gratitude for what is ahead of you.

Let us stop here for now.

* Note from Cheryl: Freejoyreviews.com liked one of my posts. **c* the Law of Attraction Take Action is the Title of one of her posts. Unfortunately, I could not discover the post itself but obviously, Higgins and I both like the title.

A Conversation with Higgins, November 24, 2021

C: I’m awake at this ridiculous hour and am hoping to spend a few minutes connecting with you about the last couple of days. One or two nights ago you had me count backwards to negative 16. At negative 16 I found myself easily feeling gratitude. It was a genuine warmth of emotion that I was able to apply to several thoughts that popped into my mind. My husband for one, something about work for two. Whatever the thoughts were, they were followed by this gentle surge of genuine appreciation.

I was able to carry this into my day, that was Monday, and do it again yesterday, Tuesday. On Tuesday afternoon I had an interaction with an oncology patient that fascinated me. Literally, I was engrossed in our conversation and forgot about time. AT WORK! I have been asking the Universe for a job that genuinely interests me for quite some time now.

What is it that you have been doing that has helped me achieve this wonderful experience?

H: You noticed! We are gently laughing with you, Friend. We enjoyed your experience yesterday, too. As you know, we (you and all of us) have an agreement to work together during this particular lifetime to bring knowledge into the Earth realm that is necessary for the forward progress of mankind. We provided you with the information you needed to clean up your vibrational offering so that we could reach you more easily. While you developed a theoretical grasp of the information we shared, you did not fully grasp the application of the information.

We need you to apply the information we shared with you during the wisdom phase because the ability to do so will not only bring you joy, as you noticed yesterday, but it will catapult your energetic offering into a frequency we can work with to bring forth the knowledge mankind awaits.

What we have done is cradle you in energy that matches the vibration we want you to achieve. That was done with the backward counts. We took you down one gentle notch at a time, allowing you to simmer at each important level. You will recall the quiet of your mind when you first reached zero. And at negative 13 how quiet and still and SLOW your mind was? Your slow mind attracted a slow day at work. At negative 16 you are able to feel gratitude and so we helped you feel that. We would like you to spend thirty days feeling gratitude. The thirty-day count started yesterday.

Let us stop here for today.

Thoughts on the Last Few Days

Just a brief note to share about the last few days. Higgins has been helping me reach the emotion of gratitude and to differentiate it from what I thought was gratitude. There is a slogan, “Attitude of Gratitude”, and Higgins is underscoring this as an important concept to master. Even as I use the word concept it seems that word doesn’t encompass what they mean.

They have been stressing the importance of our current moment. Like me, I think many of us wish away our current moment waiting for our perfect vision of life to appear. They are hammering home the point that our current moment is the creation of our next current moment so perfect will never arrive if we do not find a way to find the perfection in our current moment.

This seems counterintuitive to me but I applied it for a day and half and then yesterday afternoon the most extraordinary thing happened at work. I was asked to consult with an oncology patient about her medications. I found myself totally engrossed in our conversation and was able to help her develop a plan to achieve her goals. The important words here are ‘totally engrossed’. My job fascinated me for fully an hour and a half. A job that genuinely interests me is high on my list of things that would occur in my perfect life.

I am eager to find out what happens next!
