A Conversation with Higgins, November 30, 2021

Again last night Higgins asked me to count backwards to twenty prior to going to sleep. I haven’t made it to twenty yet. I fall asleep somewhere around 19.6. What is at twenty that is so hard to achieve?

Last night, for example, I started at zero. Counting backwards was swift and easy. As long as my mind was quiet it was one count per breath. The closer I got to negative twenty the more my mind seemed to squirm. I experienced a long pause at negative 18. At nineteen, I was somehow prompted (compelled might be a better word) to count by tenths. Negative nineteen point one. Negative nineteen point two. And so on.

Negative nineteen point six is the last number I remember.

C: Good morning, Higgins. Yesterday, you asked me to pre-pave our conversation which I attempted to do. You were not satisfied in our connection yesterday. You asked me not to post the conversation saying it was not clear and suggested I go back to bed and count to negative twenty.

I was unable to reach negative twenty, only making it to negative nineteen and some tenths before falling to sleep. The same thing happened last night, I made it to negative nineteen point six.

H: Ask your question, Friend.

C: Will you please continue on the topic of pre-paving? Or on getting to the root of the problem?

H: We have reached the root of the problem. We, and we includes you, are sitting (simmering, stewing) in it right now.

C: Will you clarify please?

H: Pre-paving means thinking about some aspect of your future, near or far, and manufacturing a sense of gratitude about it. When you stew on a topic in your mind, you have no trouble at all carrying a sense of frustration or injustice for hours. Do you know what we mean by that?

C: Yes. For example, I replay events in my mind for hours and repeat the same negative feeling over and over.

H: Exactly. Pre-paving is finding gratitude for something that hasn’t happened yet and carrying that feeling of gratitude with you while you play the event that hasn’t happened yet over and over in your mind.

We do not expect you to play it over for hours, minutes is fine. Just long enough to get the Universe turning in your direction.

Practice again now.

C: (I spent some time trying to calm my mind and find gratitude of any kind.)

H: Did you notice what happened? You could not find much in the way of gratitude. Your mind slipped into a groove that it is comfortable with. What was it?

C: My mind somehow latched on to a memory that brought me feelings of frustration and irritation. There is another emotion attached with the memory, being treated badly but in a way that is usury. I know that usury usually means interest on money loaned but it is the best word I can find. The situation was a doctor, who was an Ear, Nose and Throat specialist, was literally looking up my nose. He attempted to put a little plastic tube into my sinuses to look around but my nasal tissue was swollen and he was not successful in passing the scope beyond the nares of my nose.

It took literally less that sixty second for this to occur and when I got the bill he had charged me (my insurance company) one thousand and fifty dollars! He is a specialist! He could have anticipated there was no way that tube was going to pass! I did speak to him about it with no success and until today I feel powerless over that situation. It occurred about three years ago.

H: This is very important.

C: Why?

H; Notice where your emotions went easily.

C: Frustration?

H: Lack of control.

C: I feel as though you are showing me something huge.

H: We feel the rapid ping of your heart as you attempt to absorb this. Where your mind is going, this is correct.

C: My mind is attempting to extrapolate this to the human race. We feel used and abused and so we lash out in anger and frustration. Anger is not a word I wanted to use to reflect on that incident but it is true. Until today I feel angry because I felt powerless.

H: That is correct. Humans feel angry to avoid slipping into powerless. Anger is the stronger emotion.

We are going to stop here and allow you another day to practice finding the emotion that is gratitude.

C: I did notice yesterday that gratitude feels good. Hate has a feeling to it. Fear has a feeling to it. Gratitude has a feeling to it. Gratitude feels good.

H: Very nicely done. Many years ago someone asked the difference between emotion and feeling. We could not explain it. It is a thing you feel and then you know.

Please move on now with your day. It is important for you to apply what we have shared with you.

Higgins asked me not to post this morning’s communication. I have been working on it since I awakened at 0318 this morning. It has been just under an hour. They said it is not clear. This is the first time they have ever said that. Instead, they ask me to go back to bed and count backwards to negative twenty.

A Conversation with Higgins, November 28, 2021

I haven’t written since Thursday morning when somehow I lost the document Higgins was near to completing. Their words that day were, to me in that moment, life changing. The words are lost and the feelings and understanding they brought along with their words are now misty and no longer clear. It was a wonderful lesson in gratitude and I can’t remember a word of it, and the life altering Aha! is gone too.

Pressing on….

Someone has asked me some questions about how Higgins works with me and I haven’t been able to adequately share on that but have thought of an example that may be of interest.

Last night I was very sleepy when I tumbled into bed. Although I was sleepy my mind was busy going over a negative event that occurred and how I handled it and I couldn’t drift to sleep, nor could I connect with Higgins. At least at first I thought I wasn’t connecting to Higgins. I must have been because I became aware that when my mind was still I couldn’t feel anything. Not the usual Higgins feel. BUT, when my mind wandered off after the negative event my head began to move. My head would move in almost imperceptible circles or in very small movements back and forth. When I stopped thinking, my head stopped moving and again could feel nothing of Higgins.

When my head moved in this way, inside my brain I could feel sensation. It was kind of like rubbing my brain. It could be likened to a brain massage.

After awhile I drifted to sleep. My ego would like each communication to be awe inspiring. It isn’t. It is often subtle and of fairly short duration. These interactions occur so frequently that I push them aside as unimportant, but my suspicion is that they are the very foundation of our work together.

—Today’s conversation with Higgins—

C: Higgins, I’ve gotten off track. We started with you asking me to spend fifteen minutes a day meditating to connect with you and fifteen minutes a day writing while connected to you. In these ‘conversations’, which readers should understand take much more than fifteen minutes, we talked about getting at the root of the problem. You said, “Part one of getting at the root of the problem: providing the tools you need to do your job.”

Then we got off into gratitude. I assume that you are leading me somewhere but if I don’t keep bringing myself back to where I thought you / we were headed then I feel discombobulated.

H: Do what you need to do to feel comfortable. Then join us. It is best that way. We appreciate that you took some exercise this morning. Your slightly tired body and brain combination is much easier to access.

Tools you need to do your job. Let’s start there.

-The Law of Attraction exists.

-When you pre-pave your day you have less work to do. Serendipity is your friend.

-Gratitude is a powerful tool for pre-paving.

-Action is required of you.

We recently read a Title: **c* the Law of Attraction. Take Action*. We were extremely pleased at discovering this catchy phrase because it rams home an important point. Pre-paving using the Law of Attraction is only a part of the work you must do. Once you have decided upon the thing you want and you have pre-paved your way, then you must take action. Action IS required of you.

However, action taken without first aligning with the Universal flow is often a lot like paddling upstream. You may get where you want to go but it is much harder than if you head downstream.

Let’s give you an example. Pretend you are headed to a house in the woods. You drive down the road, knowing the house is just back there in the woods. Between where you are located and the house the woods are thick with blackberry brambles. The brambles come all the way to the road. You drive a little farther along and you see a narrow trail. Perhaps deer use it. A little farther down the road from there is a gravel drive. There is a chained gate across it and some ne’er do well has jettisoned their trash at the entrance. You keep driving and in not too far you come across another entrance. This entrance is well groomed. The gate is propped open and the address is posted on the gate. You turn in. The way is clear and you drive easily to your destination.

Taking action without first drawing upon the Law of Attraction can feel like using a machete to hack through the brambles to your destination. Most of you are living life this way. The effort required to make a nice life is wearing you down and the anger and frustration is being expressed in myriad ugly scenarios.

Practice item: Make a gentle ritual of pre-paving your day. Morning or night doesn’t matter so much as comfort and quiet time. Be comfortable. This doesn’t need to take long; fifteen minutes should be adequate. Consider what you will be doing and with whom. Then spend a moment on each important topic and person finding some reason to feel gratitude for that thing you will be doing or that person you will be with.

If you find something about your work to be truly grateful for, work will get easier. If you find something to genuinely appreciate about your difficult co-worker, your relationship will relax.

If you hate where you are you cannot easily move on to something better. If you find true peace and gratitude your life will unfold easily before you.

An important note about appreciation and gratitude. Appreciation and gratitude are not words. They are emotions. Pre-paving means feeling appreciation and gratitude for what is ahead of you.

A Conversation with Higgins, November 24, 2021

C: I’m awake at this ridiculous hour and am hoping to spend a few minutes connecting with you about the last couple of days. One or two nights ago you had me count backwards to negative 16. At negative 16 I found myself easily feeling gratitude. It was a genuine warmth of emotion that I was able to apply to several thoughts that popped into my mind. My husband for one, something about work for two. Whatever the thoughts were, they were followed by this gentle surge of genuine appreciation.

I was able to carry this into my day, that was Monday, and do it again yesterday, Tuesday. On Tuesday afternoon I had an interaction with an oncology patient that fascinated me. Literally, I was engrossed in our conversation and forgot about time. AT WORK! I have been asking the Universe for a job that genuinely interests me for quite some time now.

What is it that you have been doing that has helped me achieve this wonderful experience?

H: You noticed! We are gently laughing with you, Friend. We enjoyed your experience yesterday, too. As you know, we (you and all of us) have an agreement to work together during this particular lifetime to bring knowledge into the Earth realm that is necessary for the forward progress of mankind. We provided you with the information you needed to clean up your vibrational offering so that we could reach you more easily. While you developed a theoretical grasp of the information we shared, you did not fully grasp the application of the information.

We need you to apply the information we shared with you during the wisdom phase because the ability to do so will not only bring you joy, as you noticed yesterday, but it will catapult your energetic offering into a frequency we can work with to bring forth the knowledge mankind awaits.

What we have done is cradle you in energy that matches the vibration we want you to achieve. That was done with the backward counts. We took you down one gentle notch at a time, allowing you to simmer at each important level. You will recall the quiet of your mind when you first reached zero. And at negative 13 how quiet and still and SLOW your mind was? Your slow mind attracted a slow day at work. At negative 16 you are able to feel gratitude and so we helped you feel that. We would like you to spend thirty days feeling gratitude. The thirty-day count started yesterday.

Thoughts on the Last Few Days

Just a brief note to share about the last few days. Higgins has been helping me reach the emotion of gratitude and to differentiate it from what I thought was gratitude. There is a slogan, “Attitude of Gratitude”, and Higgins is underscoring this as an important concept to master. Even as I use the word concept it seems that word doesn’t encompass what they mean.

They have been stressing the importance of our current moment. Like me, I think many of us wish away our current moment waiting for our perfect vision of life to appear. They are hammering home the point that our current moment is the creation of our next current moment so perfect will never arrive if we do not find a way to find the perfection in our current moment.

This seems counterintuitive to me but I applied it for a day and half and then yesterday afternoon the most extraordinary thing happened at work. I was asked to consult with an oncology patient about her medications. I found myself totally engrossed in our conversation and was able to help her develop a plan to achieve her goals. The important words here are ‘totally engrossed’. My job fascinated me for fully an hour and a half. A job that genuinely interests me is high on my list of things that would occur in my perfect life.

I am eager to find out what happens next!

A Conversation with Higgins, November 22, 2021

C: Good morning, Higgins. This is where you left off yesterday:

“Mankind is experiencing shoes that don’t fit. That is the strife you see being expressed as all sorts of ugliness. You are metaphorically kicking off shoes that don’t fit.

We will explain how to derive an enjoyable life. We mean, when you open your eyes, you will like what you see. Importantly, what you see will include exhilarating life for man and harmonious interaction with all else sharing your planet.”

Where do you recommend we start?

H: With you. Within oneself is the starting place of all creation. We would have you master the creating of your day. Not the creating of anyone else’ day, nor the creating of wonderful thigs in the world around you. Start with your next moment. Anyone reading this would start with their next moment.

C: This is not what I expected you to say.

H: You just typed an email to a friend. In it, you said you would like to spend more time with us. Doing that defeats the purpose of being human. You are forgetting to experience the joys of being human and that experience is why you came in the first place. We are a planned portion of your life experience, and we all anticipated our connection would be joyful, but you also planned to look around at your life and determine how to use your connection with us to create outward joy.

If you remember, when we began with you, we stated that the wisdom phase was for your growth. We told you the knowledge phase is what we are going to share through you. We are arriving at that portion of your life. Any action you take would be best taken in accord with this understanding.

Immediately, your mind will argue that going to work this afternoon is getting in the way of working with us. It isn’t. Going to work this afternoon is opportunity to express us and, importantly, it currently supports you being able to share us. Do you follow that? The job you have deserves your respect and gratitude and full cooperation.

When I opened my laptop to write this morning I didn’t think the events of last night were worth writing about. Apparently they are.

I arrived home from the evening shift. I worked at a hospital last night so they are open 24/7. Last night I worked until midnight arriving home just before one in the morning. I was so sleepy I didn’t try very hard to connect with them but they connected with me, asking me to start counting backwards from negative thirteen. I only reached negative sixteen.

As I reached negative sixteen I immediately felt a wonderful sensation of gratitude and Higgins was happy. They said keep doing this. Keep feeling this kind of genuine gratitude for things. They left me at negative 16, or maybe I just fell asleep there so I’m at negative 16 by default. At any rate, it will be an interesting day. Will I feel gratitude throughout the day in that same profound way?

A Conversation with Higgins, November 20, 2021

Last night I slid into bed with the usual intent of connecting with Higgins for a few minutes. I think bedtime is a good time to connect with them because I am tired and sleepy. Whether that is true or not is not clear.

I attempted a backward count but did not get an observable response from Higgins, so I asked for direction. They ‘said’, “We need you to connect with you.” The events that transpired next were interesting, but I simply cannot remember it at all.

C: You ended yesterday by stating: This lack of understanding your true ability is the root of the problem. This is our reason for coming forth.

This sounds very ‘wisdom phase-ish’. Would you like to say more about it?

H: You are correct. The wisdom phase is the foundation for the knowledge phase. It must be rock solid before we can build upon it. Let us help you with last night’s events.

We asked you to arrange your next day. We asked you to briefly consider one thing you like about each person you will be interacting with, and to arrange the flow of your day. You were briefly sidetracked in some irritation on one thought direction, but reasonably soon got that sorted out. After that, you were able to plan a safe drive to work through beautiful fields and scenery and pleasant interactions with people at work, as well as your husband and the friend you will be seeing.

As you become more skilled at this it will become easier.

We would like you now to consider yesterday at (-) 13. What did you notice?

C: Work was really slow. They sent me home early. Not entirely unusual for that location but pretty unusual for a Friday.

H: Slow like your mind at (-) 13?

C: So my day followed my mind?

H: It always does. We just want you to notice that it does. That’s why we sent you out at (-) 13.

C: I don’t know how to respond to that. I worked at an oncology clinic yesterday. Two people had their treatment cancelled because their blood levels were so good they didn’t need treatment. Two people, their blood markers were so poor they couldn’t receive treatment. And one person was hospitalized and either missed their treatment or received their chemotherapy infusion in the hospital, either way, we didn’t provide it.

H: You are worrying that by being clear about your day you are causing others to either to get well or to get sicker. You do not create in the life of another. You are creating your life and that does part the seas, so to speak, but you did not create their life circumstances. You created your life circumstances.

Let’s remind you that you are creating calm and loveliness in your life. Others are welcome to have whatever they want in their lives. You will attract others who wish to have calm and loveliness in theirs, or whose circumstance whether lovely or not, will provide calm and loveliness in yours. Those who do not have loveliness and calm in their lives will show up in locations where you are not. Just look at the news to see this clearly. Your life is pleasant, the news is an ongoing soap-opera.

We use ‘soap-opera’ intentionally. It reflects the choices you make as acting and therefore made up, a work of fiction. We want you all to clearly understand that your life is entirely of your choosing and should you decide to change your life circumstance it is entirely possible to do. Changing your life direction is just like changing the channel on your television or radio. You simply tune into a different frequency.

C: I have been attempting change for a long, long time. Since you came in 2005 and even before. Why does it take such a long time?

H: It doesn’t. You simply did not apply the rules clearly. You were muddy in your offerings. Those changes you wanted came slowly. You are clearer in your offerings, the responses come more quickly.

In fact, that isn’t quite right. Responses are nearly instant. When your offering is muddy you get the same muddy response almost instantly and so the response looks the same. It isn’t. Everything is new in each moment.

You must also keep in mind that the Universe always says yes. The gears to provide you with whatever your heart desires begin to turn the moment you think it. When you think about something else less desirable the gears of the universe begin to send less desirable to you. You must continually focus on those things you do want, or the universe will lurch forward and back in its attempt to provide you with that which you have aligned with.

Even as we type this, we realize this is somewhat incorrect, the universe flows and never lurches, but the idea that what you desire flows toward you or is diverted away from you depending on how steadfastly you focus upon your desires should be clear.

C: Let’s say that I want to work with you. I still have to make a living someway and for whatever reason, when I think about equating your connection with me as a money-making adventure, it makes me a little sick to my stomach. Asking for money for your services has felt wrong from the beginning. You can understand that I am a little muddy on this topic. As well as others, of course.

H: Remember that a sick stomach is guidance. Anxiety is guidance. Fear is guidance. Elation is guidance. When you have a desire for money, you really have a desire for the comfort and security money provides. Begin to focus on the qualities money provides rather than the money itself and you will have better success.

A Conversation with Higgins, November 19, 2021

Last night after getting into bed I initiated another backwards count. This time I started at zero and ended at (-) 13. It was extremely pleasant to rest in (-) 13 and after I simmered there a bit, Higgins ‘said’, “This is where we want you to live.”

Another interesting thing happened, and I cannot say with certainty it happened before I drifted to sleep. It could have been a dream, I guess. Someone began reading into my ear. I had an idea in my mind and I don’t remember what it was, when someone began to read something to me, an article perhaps, about the topic that was on my mind.

The voice was on my left side and seemed to be inside my head, or possibly immediately next to my left ear. Either way, their voice was absolutely clear. It was a male voice. I don’t remember a word he spoke. It certainly would be fun if the conversations with Higgins were that literal.

C: In yesterday’s conversation we were trying to get at the root of the problem. I was unable to stay connected to you. Shall we try again today?

H: At one time in the development of mankind, there were those who would teach you. There were those who would not have you taught. This continues still, with the information you need continuing to be suppressed.

Consider the television show, Greatest American Hero. In it, a young fellow is given a suit. When he wears it, he is endowed with super-powers. Unfortunately for our hero, he loses the directions for using the suit, thus he struggles to utilize it fully.

Mankind is our hero in this this television show. You do not have the directions for how to use your body and mind to best effect. Much of the information is written in documents which have either been destroyed or hidden from you.

Originally, this suppression came from those who created you. Now, the suppression is foist upon you by others for whom your coming into knowledge does not benefit them. Or, importantly, it comes from within yourselves, fear-based refusal to acknowledge your true being.

This lack of understanding your true ability is the root of the problem. This is our reason for coming forth.

A Conversation with Higgins, November 18, 2021

The time is 4:10 AM. I have been off work the last five days and head back to work today for a seven day stretch. I’m wondering how to get in these half hour conversations with Higgins. They actually take much longer than half an hour. Typically, when I have an extra half hour in the morning, I use the time to exercise, and I don’t want to get into an either/or situation. We’ll see what happens.

Last night when I got into bed, I attempted the backwards count which is becoming the usual at bedtime. Instead of counting backward I was prompted to count forward starting at (-) 8 and ending at zero.

With each count forward I became somewhat more awake which was bothersome to me since the plan was to go to sleep. They left me at zero and whether there is an explanation or not, I could not discover it. I much prefer the way I feel at (-) 8 than at zero and I am suspicious that this is what they want me to know.

Conversation begins:

C: We left off yesterday with seemingly two issues. One was getting at the root of the problem. The second was a biblical conversation about Adam and Eve eating from the tree of knowledge.

(Note from Cheryl: as I finish typing the word ‘knowledge’ in the sentence above I feel a bit breathless. Adam and Eve, if I remember correctly, ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Is that what Higgins refers to when they call this the Knowledge Phase?)

You said: Part one of getting at the root of the problem: providing the tools you need to do your job.

Then you said:  From the beginning, there has been an attempt to keep you from knowing yourselves fully. Specifically, that you can, and in fact do, create your own existence.

Would you like to continue from here?

H: Possibly the most important thing you will ever learn about yourselves is that you can, and in fact do, create your own existence.

With this knowledge you are instantly catapulted from tool to tool maker. You can never be a victim again. You have created the day that unfolds before you.

C: I’m really having trouble connecting with you. Shall we stop for today?

H: This is the difference between zero and (-) 8. Getting into the trance like state you need to be in to receive us is paramount for our successful

A Conversation with Higgins, November 17, 2021

Three times during the night Tucker awakened me. The first time I dutifully got up and put him out without noticing Higgins coming in. Both subsequent times Higgins jumped in as they did the previous night. Neither event was especially interesting or noteworthy, no visions or noted communications. The only thing perhaps worth mentioning is that they were sort of invisible, meaning I didn’t tingle very much after the first few minutes, or have visions, so at one point I decided to get up and couldn’t. That’s when I realized they were still there and the paralytic power they exert was in effect.

I have no idea how long they are with me during these events and am considering getting a big digital clock that I could see in the night.

P.S. As I’m writing this, where the word ‘event’ appears above, I tried to describe as visit. They don’t like the word visit as a description. Event is somehow better. Apparently, that is because they are not here for a visit, they are with me permanently, 24/7.

C: Yesterday, we were talking about the book of Genesis. Do you wish to continue?

H: We were not talking about the book of Genesis. We were talking about getting at the root of the problem by starting at the root of the problem. The conversation led us to explain some of the history of man. Our explanation caused you some discomfort which in turn limited our trance effect upon you at which point we stopped speaking.

Again in this moment we are having difficulty connecting with you and if this conversation is too uncomfortable we can try another avenue.

Do you wish to continue?

C: Yes.

H: Relax your mind. Let’s review yesterday’s offering for correctness.

(I subsequently opened yesterday’s conversation and they focused on the portion copied and pasted below.)

From yesterday: The serpent form simply coached early humans in a way that was not beneficial to those who felt they had a right to be in charge. Primarily, they felt they had this right because they were those who put the work into developing mankind.

Correction: Primarily, they felt they had this right because they were those behind the development of mankind.

Please spend a few moments reconnecting with us.

C: Okay.

(Many minutes passed.)

H: Let’s try again. Whatever you perceive God to be, God is not what you think it is. God, the primary source of life and the Universe as you perceive it, is older, vaster, and more complex than your mind can conceptualize.

This idea is too complex for you to bring across with clarity so let’s leave it for now.

Let’s get back to the root of the problem.

Note from Cheryl: I am having difficulty connecting with Higgins on this topic. I can’t relax my mind enough to let them work so I looked back at yesterday’s conversation. They said this:

We ended yesterday’s conversation with these words from you:  The truth is your stay on Earth wouldn’t feel like a Mt. Everest challenge if you had the tools you need to navigate the Earth environment.

Part one of getting at the root of the problem: providing the tools you need to do your job.

I’m hoping that inserting this into today’s conversation will help my mind relax so they can continue.

H: Tools. The serpent gave you tools your guardians did not want you to have. Specifically, we are talking about conscious creation. Somewhere along the timeline of the development of the human species, it was noted that mankind had the ability to create with intention. While some of your creators were elated to discover this, others were not. From the beginning, there has been an attempt to keep you from knowing yourselves fully. Specifically, that you can, and in fact do, create your own existence.

Let’s stop here for today.
