What Are Demons?

Question:     What is/are Demons in general? What is Satan? From a Biblical point of view. Is Satan/Demons just the negative forces in the Bible and God the positive force? Is God and Satan actually one in the same?

Cheryl:     Higgins asked for dictionary definitions and so I looked up some different meanings. One definition is the demon as an  evil spirit that possesses a human. Satan may be considered a demon. Some believe demons are fallen angels.

Higgins:     From a biblical standpoint, Satan is a fallen angel who brings evil and temptation to humans.

In Genesis, a similar story exists for the fall of mankind…the story of Adam and Eve wherein Eve convinced Adam to eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Eating from the tree of knowledge was forbidden in the Garden. Satan, in this story, would be the force of temptation that lead to Adam and Eve doing the ‘wrong’ thing by eating of the tree of knowledge.

Demons are beings similar to Satan although they may or may not be angels. Satan may be considered the leader of the underworld or the leader of the negative forces. Demons are negative energetic forces. They may be small bundles of negative energy or large. The greater the human focus upon an energy the greater it grows due to the creative power of the collective conscience. Said again, humans give demons their power by focusing upon them.

Demons can project their energy into the human realm. Humans sometimes see demons. What is actually happening is the human mind transposes the negative energy that exists in any given location into something recognizable, usually a scary face or human form.

Satan, while not directly God, is God in the same way that you are God. Satan is a child of God. Satan, who is perhaps the greatest master of choosing positive thoughts, decided to explore the negative side of what God is. Until Satan, that great balancing point of God’s goodness lay unexplored. Satan was willing to explore the depths of ‘darkness’ and then lead humans through the ‘darkness’ so that we may know ourselves more fully.

Satan:     The more quickly humans learn to steadfastly follow the call of their hearts towards happiness the sooner I will move into my next career.

Cheryl’s note:     This was conveyed with a sense of humor not expressed in the writing.  He suggested perhaps painter would be his next career, something less strenuous. It was said jokingly but with some hint of real possibility.

Higgins continues:     Satan, and demons in general, are faces of the negative aspect of God. Angels are faces of the positive aspect of God. Thus, the definition of Angel is incomplete since Satan is an Angel. While this may twist the mind a little it is well worth exploring since in the end, there exists neither good nor evil, only that which is often called God. God (Allah, Prime Source, Great Creator) is an energetic power, a balanced magnetic force which either repels (negative-think demon) or attracts (positive-think Angel).

Depending on the individual human’s ability to focus on positive, and thus be the attractive side of a magnet, the energy that exists in the world (God/Allah) exhibits itself in the human realm (as life experience) positively. If one happens to focus more intensely on the negative, thus acting as the repelling side of the magnet, life experience is drawn that feels uncomfortable.

We appreciate this complex questioning and welcome further questions for clarification.

Are We Creating The Rise Of Diseases Like Ebola?

Question:     Here’s something totally off topic that I’ve been thinking about and I’m interested in Higgins’ take on it: I understand that the human race has a collective consciousness that creates everything that comes to be on earth. I got to thinking about our obsession on television and movies with a zombie apocalypse. I’m thinking that focusing on this drab and horrific reality could aid to the rise of diseases like Ebola. Isn’t this what we’re saying we want? If this is true, it’s more important than ever to be conscious of what we’re tuning into.

Higgins:     It is true. It is incorrect to assume that watching violent movies, television programs and even the violence reported in the news has no effect.

When an individual focuses on a thing long enough it becomes reality.

Because life is a reflection of how you feel about what you think about, focusing on this sort of negativity (and more importantly identifying with it) creates a magnetic field that draws energetically equivalent life events. The more times identification with any topic, in this case the zombie movies, the greater the negative creation. Movies and television have great creative potential because they reach wide audiences. The more people who make this energetic connection the greater the magnitude of the response that is drawn. This is due to that collective consciousness that you refer to in your question.

Evaluate, if you will, the disease symptoms of infection with Ebola virus. Symptoms begin with fatigue and generalized aches and pains, fever. It progresses to chest pain, shortness of breath and trouble swallowing. Then comes the bleeding phase, the visually ugly aspect of the disease. Notice how similarly frightening these symptoms are to the ugliness of the movies you reference. Notice how the symptoms parallel the emotions one might feel while watching some violent movie; generally uncomfortable at first followed by fear as the tension in the movie mounts. Notice how fear stimulated by events in the movie equals the fear surrounding the Ebola virus.

This last sentence is really, really important because as individuals and as a mass consciousness humans create their lives by how they feel about what they think about. They create their lives by focusing on something, by identifying with it. Life is not created simply by wanting something. Wanting is the first step. Identifying It (whatever It is) is just the starting point of creating life. Identifying with It is what creates It in daily life.

Consciously tune into the best of what is being offered. Clearly identify what you do want. Identify with it. Then, on those rare occasions when life is touched by something fearful you yourself will not be a magnet for it and that fearful thing will pass you by.

We appreciate your question and applaud the important connection you made between what is focused upon and what is experienced.

Life Is A Reflection

Higgins:     Life is a reflection of how you feel about what you think about.

Grow Your Own Food

Higgins:    Grow your own food, at least some of it. Agribusiness is contrary to human desire.  The body needs to be in contact with the earth.  Touching the Earth promotes deeper connection to the eternal self.

What Does President Obama Need To Do To Solve The World’s Conflict: Eudaimonia (Part 3 of 3)

Comment/question:     Eudaimonia is unattainable for Man as a whole. No matter how far you “uplift” many, they will still cause strife because they will believe that others have been given more. The given part is the important one as too few will accept that others just plain earned more through their own efforts.

Cheryl:     Defining eudaimonia as ‘the human flourishing’ or ‘happiness for the individual and mankind as a whole’.

Higgins:     Eudaimonia is attainable. Many planets with humanoid species have attained it. Will Earth?

That primary spark of life that many call God has given humans free will. Eventually, each of you will die and when you do the eternal consciousness that you are will reconnect with God. (You may envision God as a sort of magnetic docking station.) You certainly will not be forced to do so in human form. However, when you were born it was your plan to connect with your eternal God consciousness from the human/physical arena.

Connecting to one’s eternal consciousness then living life in harmony with one’s eternal truth is what creates harmony and happiness.

It matters not whether man as a whole achieves eudomonia. The individual flourishing is all that matters. The individual may choose to flourish regardless of what others choose to do.

Seven billion individuals flourishing. Isn’t that a nice thought?

The Simple Solution to End Conflict: A Clarification (Part 2 of 2)

Question:     I asked you about conflict in the Middle East, conflict in Africa, drought, the riot in Missouri, etc… and asked whether there was a simple answer to end the problems we are having. You said, “Yes. None of you were born with the intention to hurt any other. So why were you born? What is it that you came here to do? Go do it.”

My question, or maybe comment, becomes, when I think about that response my brain almost hurts. I literally feel pressure inside my head. It’s kind of like it can’t think that far, or I can’t think it up.

Higgins:     Right. The “Go do it” causes the brain to move from its current focus on conflict and instead focus upon something else. The ‘something else’ is the thing each person needs to think up as individuals. By virtue of the fact that none of you came to Earth to hurt any other you must think up something new to focus upon. Something that is uplifting to the individual and harmful to none.

Think of it like this:

You are the lead person in a group walking through a rainforest. The vegetation is dense and intense. You must exert quite a bit of strength and effort to hack your way forward to your destination. (Let’s say your destination is a beautiful waterfall and swimming hole but you’ve never seen it nor has anyone in your group. You’ve only heard that it exists and have been given its general location.)

For you, the lead person making  trail, the way is very difficult. For each one following you the trail becomes easier. Those at the end of the group have only to follow your footsteps and while effort must be exerted it is significantly less than the effort of those who blazed the trail.

The ‘trail’ to negativity is well trodden. It is very easy for your mind to flow towards negativity. The ‘trail’ to human flourishing is not. Moving mentally towards a vision of the human flourishing is a new trail and difficult for those who go first. That is why your mind has a hard time focusing on it. There is no easy path laid for you to travel on. You are a trailblazer. Others who follow will have an easier time because you had the courage and fortitude to (mentally) go first.

The Simple Solution to End Conflict (Part 1 of 2)

Question:     Conflict in the Middle East, conflict in Africa, drought, starvation, violence. Now, in the U.S., a riot in Missouri. Is there a simple answer to end this?

Higgins:     Yes. None of you were born with the intention to hurt any other. So why were you born? What is it that you came here to do? Go do it.

There Are No Problems: A Clarification

Question:  You posted, “It is not a problem. It is clarifying data.”

When I watch the news and see people, innocent or not, dying from bombs, shootings, starvation, disease….well, I wonder whether it’s a problem for them.

Higgins:     A marvelous question.

People tend to see their problems as problems rather than as clarifying data. That is because most of you do not understand how life experience is created.

Life is created in the mind first. Life experience is created by each individual by their emotions and how they feel about what they think, hear, see, say and do.

Said another way, life is a reflection of how you feel about what you think about.

When bombs are exploding nearby or you are lying in a hospital with some dreaded disease the only thing you can do is relax. Tension will only make things worse. Once the immediate danger has passed begin active participation in the creation of a bright future.

We encourage a twice daily routine in which you sit quietly contemplating the day.

In the morning contemplate the day ahead. Fill your mind with pleasant thoughts about how the upcoming day shall be. Include things like safety, pleasant interactions with those around you and fulfillment of your heart’s purpose.

In the evening contemplate the day passed. Consider what things you liked, and plan more of that for the days ahead. Also consider what you did not like. Determine what you would rather have, then plan that for your days ahead.

Spend no more time considering those things you did not like than necessary for defining what you would rather have. Safety, pleasant interactions with those around you and fulfillment of one’s heart’s purpose are very basic desires and an appropriate place for beginning the intentional creation of life.

We do understand how easy it is to get caught up in the reality of mankind’s collective miscreation. We hold in our heart’s the knowing that you all are magnificent creators of life experience or you could not have erupted into the world in human form. We know that as soon as you are able to direct your thoughts from the negativity that is to the positivity that is your birth right the violence, the disease, the starvation, the crime…these things will begin to fade. The more people who begin to intentionally choose a gentler, more fulfilling path through life the grander the vision will be. Let us make special note that only you must change your thought for your life to change.

Make Friends With Your Body

Higgins:     Make friends with your body. Eat high quality, nutritious meals.  Drink water.  Bless food and water before consuming. Get as much rest as your body thinks it needs. Provide gently strenuous exercise on a regular basis.

Bless your body and thank your body. It is doing its best.
