Transition When You Want To

This question refers back the post of March 25, 2014, Why Do Some People Want To Die But Can’t?

Question:     Those of us that hear and practice this information; will we be able to transition when we want to and not get stuck?

Higgins:     Let’s start with a clarification of ‘stuck’. We have used ‘stuck’ to describe energy that is not flowing along its natural course through the body. Stuck energy leads to disease. It also leads to an inability to transition into the next realm easily and smoothly.

The physical realm and the Game of Physical Life…this is difficult. So to guarantee that by practicing our offerings none of you will get stuck is not quite true. The pure application of our offerings would lead to pure flow it’s true, but pure application is difficult to master.

What we suggest is for each of you to practice carrying your personal energy as it is meant to be carried: It should (generally) flow from head to toe in such a way that you radiate a pleasant aura. Simultaneously, we highly recommend a practice of creating that is being called pre-paving by our friends among Abraham*.

Pre-paving means to think about what you want in advance to the point of clarity. For example, if you (the asker of the question) has become completely aware that you would like a swift, smooth, easy departure from this life experience you need now, today, to begin telling your Spirit Guides and the Universe that this is your desire. That way, it will be ready for you when the time for your transition arrives. We also strongly recommend that you are clear about timing. For example, “I wish to live a long and fruitful existence filled with beauty, prosperity, good health and warm relationships. When I reach the end of my days I wish to feel fulfilled, satisfied and complete in such a full way that I know I am ready to leave this physical realm. At that point, I wish to slip peacefully and easily into the next segment of my cosmic adventure, whatever that turns out to be.”

In this example, were you to leave out the word ‘long’ then you may well have a happy existence but it could be very short.

When pre-paving, or pre-creating, is done this way you allow plenty of time for all the mechanisms of the Universe to react and move into place so that your departure will occur this way. Pre-creating is helpful because the farther in advance you create and the clearer your vision becomes the less effect your energetic body has on a moment to moment basis. Therefore, when your time to depart comes the departure will be hugely likely to be smooth, easy and relaxed.

(*Note: Higgins refers to the non-physical group, Abraham, and Abraham-Hicks.)

Does Stuck or Negative Energy From A Patient Affect The Caregiver?

This question refers to the post,Why Do Some People Want To Die But Can’t, posted March 25, 2014.

Question:     My first question involves caring for someone who is “stuck” as you call it. As a 24 hour care giver, does this situation affect those caring for them? Do we need extra protection? Does the person without energy take energy from the caregiver?

Higgins:     The brief answers are yes, no, and yes, but please allow us to explain in more depth.

Each of you carries an energy field–each of you is an energy field. All of you affect others and are affected by others. Some to greater and lesser degrees but still, you all do this. For example, when a person is extremely angry others may bend to their will when they might not have done so when the person exhibiting the anger was in a more pleasant mood. This is overt manipulation of another’s behavior. Anger used to manipulate another’s behavior may be considered Dark Magic and overtly shifts the energy field of another person.

Most energetic manipulation occurs more covertly. Have you noticed that being around someone who is feeling very depressed or sad also causes a change in your own feelings? In a similar way the energy of people who need care generally is slow. We’ll remind you that slow energy is low energy. Whether you are aware of it or not this slow energy can affect you and anyone else who comes near the slow energy person.

What you as the caregiver must do is consciously maintain your personal energy. This is done by grounding your energetic flow in the Earth. Use your hand, thoughts or voice to direct your personal energy to flow in through the head, along the spinal column and out through the tailbone into the Earth. Remind yourself regularly that you choose to maintain your personal flow of energy in harmony with the Truth of Who You Are. Choose safety, happiness, fulfillment. Choose to thrive. Then remind your energy to flow head to toe. (This works for bed-ridden people, too. Energy will find its way to ground in the Earth by directing it to flow head to toe.)

When you fastidiously maintain your personal energy the slow vibrations of the one you care for do not affect you so much. This is what you need to do for ‘protection’, although we would not describe it as protection so much as simply carrying your energy the way it is designed to be carried.

Fast energy feels better than slow energy. People who carry slow energy and do not know how to carry their own energy (the way we described above) will often unconsciously seek to draw energy from others. Each person is responsible for their own energy so this sort of energy sucking is alleviated by carrying your own energy fastidiously and with grace and works regardless of whether the other person ever learns to carry their own energy.

Modern Medicine and Medications

Question:     Is “modern” medicine wrong in using diuretics and blood thinners so that patients suffer longer?

Higgins:     “Modern” medicine is not wrong in using diuretics, blood thinners, surgery, Magnetic Resonance Imaging or any other medication or technology. Modern medicine is, however, incomplete. Medicine as it is today, March 26, 2014, is able to diagnose myriad health issues and treat them surgically, with prosthetics, eyewear, antibiotics…all sorts of solutions. Today’s medicine treats the symptom not the cause and that is the reason people sometimes  seem to suffer rather then benefit from treatment.

A person who needs diuretics and blood thinners has an issue with flow; urine isn’t flowing and neither is the blood. Medications would be extremely gratifying if patients were also aided in re-connecting with their soul-self.

Each person is born with the clear ability to communicate with their soul-being. Time erases this ability in most of you. The erasure occurs and this leads to an inability to navigate the physical realm. This inability to navigate causes what we will call confusion. This confusion appears early as such emotions as loneliness, unhappiness, fear, anger and depression.

When children experience powerful negative emotions they begin to manifest negativity in their lives. This is frightening for them and while it is frightening a perhaps more frightening yet unseen phenomenon is occurring.

The Universe responds to vibration. You all are beginning to understand this now. What you are not yet absorbing is that your body also responds to the vibration you carry. What starts out as discomfort in the form of loneliness, anxiety, depression or anger as a young person carries into adulthood and begins to appear as disease. For some, whose emotions are very powerfully negative their disease states may begin quite early. Children who become overwhelmed by their environment often are also overcome by bacteria and viruses. That is why children have so many colds and ‘childhood’ illnesses. Adults in later years show up with kidney failure and blood clots when their life hasn’t been flowing for many years. High blood pressure tends to be related to anger and an inability to appropriately let off steam. Cancer, diabetes, asthma, poor vision…all diseases are related to emotion. Emotion and vibration are synonymous to the Universe (and to the body) and must be responded to in like kind.

Thus, medications in and of themselves are not harmful to use. What hurts a person is the lack of emotional awareness and it is this that must be supported and embraced by the medical community to truly advance medicine, defining an advance in medicine as curing an illness rather than treating its symptoms.

Excising a cancerous tumor is, by our definition, treating the symptom not the cause. Even thought the cancerous section may be gone the vibration that drew the tumor in the first place remains and this leads to remission.

Medicine and Spirit must progress together, hand in hand, for true healing.

Why Do Some People Want To Die But Can’t?

Question:     My question is about very elderly people on earth. As an RN, I worked with very elderly patients in their 90’s that would say “God doesn’t want me—I’m still here.”  There was even a patient that could not respond in any way, had to be fed liquids in a syringe and lived like this for many years. She was 106 years old but with no quality of life. Once while working at a county home, I felt so sorry for an elderly lady that I held her hand and prayed that God take her back home. I read her obituary several days later. Now,  I am caring for my elderly mother who is 96.5 years old. She has congestive heart failure, atrial fibrillation, kidney failure and a chronic lung condition. She has had several strokes and heart attacks. During her last hospitalization her heart rate went to 30 beats per minute. She feels she has “lived too long”. My question, why do some people want to die but can’t? Is “modern” medicine wrong in using diuretics and blood thinners so that patients suffer longer?  Do we need to pray more for elderly patients suffering so long– for God to take them home?

Higgins:     Why do some people want to die but can’t?

Energy flows through the Universe (including the Earth Realm) in the way blood flows through your veins. Energy circulates, then re-circulates in the way blood is pumped from your heart to your body, back through the lungs for rejuvenation, then to the heart and back to body again. This thing, Energy, flows through all things. In a way, energy is all things.

The human body is a metaphor of planet Earth. Consider water. When a river dams those things down stream shrivel for lack of water.

Now consider energy as a river flowing through the body. When energy gets stuck parts of the body do not work as well and that is called disease.

Humans have forgotten that they are part of the Universal Flow, some of you call the flow God, Creator or Allah. They have forgotten the flow and that causes them to get stuck, much like water that is dammed. This stuck-ness causes illness, poverty, discontent. It also causes humans to resist death, even when the timing for death is right. Of course, you don’t do this on purpose. Regardless of your awareness of the flow it exists and you exist within it and are bound by the laws that bind energy.

Thus, when people want to die but can’t the primary reason is they are habitually, if unaware, blocking their personal flow of Universal Energy. They are stuck.

Your prayers for the elderly lady helped get her flow unstuck. Prayers only work if the person you pray for agrees with your request (on an energetic and unseen level rather than a verbal, conscious level) and participates by coming into energetic alignment with the prayer request.

If we were to suggest prayers we would suggest prayer offerings that encourage the prayee to re-align with the Universal Flow. That way if the person receiving prayer is ready to depart physical life they can but if they are, for whatever unknown reason, not ready to go they can instead align with physical life direction of their choosing, including a return to marvelous, remarkable good health.

Regarding  your prayers and the elderly lady’s subsequent death: Your prayers assisted her in releasing her hold in this realm allowing her to move into the next segment of her life adventure. (Please understand that life does not end when you depart this physical body.) In this moment you were in tune with your flow of Universal Life Energy and we applaud you.

We will respond to the question, “Is “modern” medicine wrong in using diuretics and blood thinners so that patients suffer longer?” in another post.

Are We In Peril?

Questioner:     Are we in peril? As a species and the planet, I mean.

Higgins:     The planet is not in peril. We will also remind you that the future is not written, meaning the outcome of life is up to you as individuals and as a species. That said, many of you are in peril. As a species the current trajectory is continuation rather than annihilation.

Questioner:     What should we do?

Higgins:     What do you want to do?

Questioner:     I want harmony.

Higgins:     Then focus on harmony. What does harmony look like to you?

Questioner:     Peace.

Higgins:     What constitutes peace?

Questioner:     (Long pause) All I can think of is that we stop fighting, no war, no arguing, no frustration with one another, no fear of lack of money or food. The end of depression, sickness and guilt seems like peace, too.

Higgins:     Excellent starting point. Now define peace in the positive meaning if no war then what? If no depression, then what? What will you have when you have what you want?

Questioner:     Peace.

Higgins:     Again, what constitutes peace?

Questioner:     Hmmm. Ok. How about cooperation? Uplifting interactions with other people. Abundant fresh, wholesome food that is affordable. Confidence in myself and others. Happiness, good health.

I don’t know what the opposite of guilty would be. We need a way to make a form of restitution or reconstruction or return to life before we made a mistake that we feel guilty for in the first place.

Higgins:     Great! This is a good start. Now answer in the same positive format: What constitutes cooperation, uplifting interactions with other people, abundant fresh, wholesome food that is affordable, confidence in yourself and others, happiness, good health and a way to make a form of restitution or reconstruction or return to life before the mistake that you feel guilty for in the first place?

Questioner:     Ugg! This seems like a lot of work over a simple question.

Higgins:     We say this with great love–it is exactly this mental laziness that reinforces negativity in the Earth realm.

Questioner:     What do you mean?

Higgins:     The purpose of ‘bad’ things is that you as individuals, and as a species, will look at that negative thing, review it purposefully and with intention to discover its opposite. Once its opposite has been discovered you are to then focus upon the opposite until it manifests in the Earth realm.

Negative occurrences are slow vibration. Positive occurrences are fast vibration. There is energy required on your part to focus upon the positive when negative occurs due to the energetic pull that occurs between the slow and fast vibration. Mostly, you physicals do not do this and that is why we say you often exhibit mental laziness. Focusing on the positive when the negative is calling loudly is your work here in physical and most of you don’t do your work.

Questioner:     What should we be doing?

Higgins:     Every time you feel negativity you need to identify that you feel uncomfortable somehow and intentionally seek to feel good. The most effective way to do this is to identify the negative occurrence (eg. someone treated me badly) then clarify in your mind its opposite (eg. I want to be treated well) and then–and this is important–clarify what being treated well means to you.

Does being treated well mean you wish to be treated respectfully? If so, clarify what respectfully means to you. It may look like others speaking to you with pleasant tone of voice, word choice, having eye contact, shaking hands, standing to greet you upon your arrival…You must identify what being treated well means to you.

When you say you want harmony and peace…great. We want that for you, too, and it will arrive shortly after you decide clearly what harmony and peace look and feel like.

Why Are We At War Around The Globe?

Question:     What is happening? Why are we at war around the globe?

Higgins:     You are warring over control issues. As individuals and as a people you must learn to relax and let what is be. The Beatles had it right, Let It Be. Focus on the things you do want instead of that which you do not want. Focus on the things that bring happiness rather than the things that are bringing you unhappiness. Until you do, as individuals and as a people, life will be uncomfortable.

While you are practicing this–and we agree that it takes practice to sift through life experience to determine what it is that you do want and focus on it exclusively–we do suggest that you also think about safety. That way, while you are practicing focusing on the desirable aspects of life you will also provide an immediate measure of safety in your experience.

The Kindness Paradigm (32)

I am attending a conference on compassion in Seattle on Friday (search the internet for Compassionate Seattle and Compassionate Cities are Uncomfortable Cities). For the conference I am creating a brochure to explain the Kindness Paradigm. It has helped me get as clear as I have been so far on this idea:

The   Kindness   Paradigm —    The garden as a whole is less for each plant that fails to thrive.

   Cheryl Jensen

It is time to shift our social paradigm from one of domination, in which economics are the driving force behind our decisions, to one of kindness, in which happiness in our own lives and the lives of others is the driving force behind our decisions.

As individuals, many of us have visions of a more harmonious life but as a people we don’t have a clear, common vision of what that sort of change would look like or how to achieve it.

Once we have a common vision for what we want our world to look like the change we seek, and which has thus far been elusive, will slip more readily into place.

The common vision:

A world in which every person feels safe and secure and free to follow their heart’s desires; every person thrives both physically and mentally; all people have relationships that are satisfying and fulfilling; all mankind prospers; and every single person reaches the end of each day feeling satisfied and fulfilled. And, should a person reach the end of the day not feeling happily self-satisfied they have some form of supportive network to buoy their spirits and ready them for the next day.

The path to achievement:

Develop compassion. Compassion transcends all barriers. Since kindness is a result of compassion, this one action (development of compassion) will change the world.

The steps to compassion:

Mentally relax about life as it is right now.  Accept willingly that which presents before us and allow it to exist, whatever it is. Understand that all any of us ever do is seek to feel good in this very difficult game of life. With this understanding it is much easier to feel compassion for others when they exhibit untoward behavior. Hold compassion for ourselves and for others regardless of the situation. What naturally overflows is kindness.

The result:

Life in The Kindness Paradigm looks like each and every person committing words and actions from kindness, kindness being defined as arising from the understanding that what affects one affects another thus nurturing a desire to create harmony through positive word and action.

And:

In this gentler, supportive, kind environment each of us feels free to follow our heart’s desires.

There is no-thing more important than pursuing the heart’s desires. It is the heart’s desires that stimulate us to action and drives us to pursue our talents. The expression of the heart’s desires causes the heart to soar. Call that soaring heart happiness, fulfillment, satisfaction… put your own name to it. Whatever it is called, a soaring heart is a heart full of gladness and a world full of glad hearts is the goal of The Kindness Paradigm.

Furthermore, living out our heart’s desires in a supportive environment in which it is our common goal to assist one another in pursuing the expression of our individual talents we will each thrive and prosper. When each of us thrives and prospers then we thrive and prosper as a world community.

Thus, from compassion and its resultant expressions of kindness, we will uplift one another into our wholeness and our happiness.

Happy people are not contemplating acts of terrorism. They are not starving. They feel no need to overthrow their government nor open fire on unsuspecting targets. Happy people are healthy, thriving participants in our common game of life.

If a world full of glad hearts is the goal of the Kindness Paradigm then the result of a world full of glad hearts is world peace.

“Lack of war is not peace. To have peace one must be peace. A side effect of peace is lack of war.”

Higgins’ Manual on Physical Existence

It is almost here! I’ve been working towards the publication of Higgins’ Manual on Physical Existence since mid-December and it will be available from Amazon next week, on or around the 15th. This book explains how the Universe offers us our life experience and how to navigate within the rules. It is short and to the point.

From the back cover:

The most magnificent vision you have of yourself is Truth.  And regardless of apparent physical or mental inequalities each of you is capable of creating a life that you enjoy; a life that includes satisfying relationships, good health, prosperity and daily activities that are entertaining and fulfilling.

Life is designed to be a pleasant adventure and the body is capable of performing smoothly and without fail until the day that you decide you are complete here and slip out of your body easily, without pain and without fuss.

The entirety of your Being continuously guides you towards expression of your personal Truth. So make the decision to live in harmony with your Truth.  Then remain at peace with your emotions no matter how uncomfortable they may seem because how you respond to the life experience that arrives today dictates what your future will bring.

Practice listening for internal guidance in the form of emotions, intuition and impulses. Emotions indicate whether you are in harmony with your Truth. Intuition and impulses guide you as to what to do next. Follow your intuition. Follow your impulses. Intuition and impulses stimulate you to action and when you are clear about living in harmony with your Truth they will always lead you towards joy.

Focus upon what you want from life; think about that which you enjoy; talk about things that bring you a feeling of happiness; commit actions that bring you closer to those things you value.  It is in this that satisfaction lies, for in all cases what you focus upon manifests itself literally or metaphorically sooner or later.

There is nothing that you can think up that cannot be achieved. So follow your heart’s desire and enjoy the journey.

Appearance, Language and Behavior

Question:     Higgins, is the way we present ourselves…appearance, language, behavior…important? If it is, what mode of dress, what manner of speech and what sort of behavior is correct?

Higgins:     The answer, Friend, is yes–appearance, language and behavior are important. They are important because you tell the world who you are through appearance, language and behavior. These are outward signs of the inward you. Not only do you announce who you are to those you meet but you also tell the Universe. (Remember the Universe…that thing that provides life experience based on your personal vibrational emissions?) If you want a sloppy, messy life a sure way to get that is to present yourself in a sloppy, messy manner. Conversely, when you present yourself groomed and ‘together’; when you speak with accuracy and yet remain decent and kind; when you present yourself with grace…these things announce to those you meet and the Universe that you value and respect yourself. Furthermore, you value and respect those around you.

The Law of Attraction is immutable and exists everywhere. It must respond to  you. Therefore, present yourself the way you wish to be responded to.
